Mr Brown heading is not accurate.

MIG probe stalled -- nobody is giving documents

The investigations made by the Bribery Commission into the controversial MIG 27 deal had been deadlocked after repeated requests made by investigators for relevant documentations had not been granted.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption initiated an investigation into alleged irregularities in the purchase of four MIG 27 ground attack craft from the Ukrinmash, a Ukrainian based arms supplier after renegade SLFP stalwarts Mangala Samaraweera and Sripathy Sooriyarachchi lodged a complaint at the Commission.
?Investigations had been stalled as relevant documentations on the transaction had not been received by the Commission,? a senior Commission official said.
He said the Commission had made a written request for the documents, but the request had not yet been granted.
?This is the difficulty,? said the official. Meanwhile, the Bribery Commission has proposed amendments to its mandate, where by the commission could initiate investigations on its own into instances of alleged corruption and bribery.
At the moment, the Bribery Commission could not initiate an investigation without a complaint from a member of general public.
This is in contrast to its counterparts in other parts of the world, for instance in Singapore.
The Bribery Commission there could launch investigations on its own, even based on a tip off from an exposure in a newspaper article.
The official said the Commission could not investigate the alleged corruption in 24 institutions as no complaint had been received against them.
?We formulated the amendments taking precedence from the Bribery Commission of Singapore with the assistance of retired Legal Draftsman , Nalin Wijesuriya,? said the official.
He said the new recommendations had been forwarded to the President?s Office, where it had been held up right now.

As mentioned all allegations are politically motivated mud slugging to MR Government.
MR do not have enough SLFP voice to reply opposition allegations.
Bribery Commission should call evidence from Mangala,Sripathy,Tiran,Kiriella and other UNP members including RW.
It's simply another mess for UNP and LTTE sympathies.

He ?Bodu Bala Sena? Organization charged in Colombo today (August 13th) that the Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) was using its name to carry out a poster campaign in the city, to sling mud at the Opposition Leader.

The smear posters titled ?Ranil, the first Opposition Leader to hijack vehicles? had not been printed or circulated by our organization, said Venerable Galaboda Aththe Gnanasara Thera, Secretary of the National Bhikku Conference, speaking on behalf of the ?Bodu Bala Sena.?

?These posters had been pasted by certain employees of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) and several of its vehicles were used by them for the purpose,? the Thera said.

The Thera asked Ports Minister Chamal Rajapaksa as to whether it was part of the functions of the SLPA to use its employees and pay them overtime and spend on vehicles and fuel with public money, to paste mud posters in the city.

?There is no difference between the JHU and the LTTE,? the Thera said, adding that the JHU has today veered off its path of creating a religious state and saving Sinhala Buddhists from international forces.

?There are some laymen robed with a bogus ?Sil Redda? in the JHU. Our Nayaka Theras too, have been misled by them. The latest challenge before the Sinhala National Movement is to save the Sinhalese and the Buddhism from these modern-day ?Vibheeshanas?,? Venerable Galaboda Aththe Gnanasara Thera said.

Instead of creating a religious state, the JHU has become a mere sidekick of the government, he alleged.

Damayanthi,
But will the white skin put up with the tar barrels stinking up their country? They are not exactly the most kindest in the world. After all, they invented raping and pillaging and leaving villages burnt to the ground, along with every man woman child and livestock.

Damayanthi/Moby

I think we should thank peedung mudalali for arranging a terror show at wikings door step, giving them the opportunity to get first hand experince on this struggle in SL.
This is something I was waiting, till wikings find these peedung guys are a headche to them. I have seen some streets of that beutiful city Oslo are like those in wellawatte.
In the coming future they will see more.
These guys are a headache to every where ,wherever they go they cant live peacefully. Simply because of the superiority syndrome. That is the root cause of this present terror crisis in SL.
Also I feel the wiking cops are not good in manoeuvring these peedung ambaruwos. These cops in peaceful city Oslo have not much experince in this kind of situations as most of the time they spend looking at moving traffic on the roads.

So Wiking Gvmt can arrange with GOSL to send their cops to SL for special training. GOSL can send them to the front and give 'on the job' training under our brave soldiers.
