If we put Bribery investigation commission and Auditor generalīs Dept. under the direct authority of the supreme court, then we can substantially reduce the corruption. These two institutions must be answerable only to the Supreme court.

Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayake has said that terrorism will be wiped out

It is a joke, to call a few attacks on primarily military targets terrorism. In particular when looking at the miserable state that a few hundred thousand Tamil civilians ( Sri Lankans ) are in after air raids, deportation and other military treatment.

LTTE activities are miles away from Al Qaeda blasts with hardly any civilians becoming victims. In addition it wouldn't be a great surprise to learn, that a lot of these LTTE bombs had their roots within the various Rajapaksa squads.

But without this TERROR hype it would be impossible to run the family owned armament acquisition channels and to squeeze more money out of Sinhalese.

Then proud low born kids of Chief monks will change the tactics from bottom up approach to top down approach where supreme court judges will ask bribes.

Show some generous towards the corrupted Lankans that they will be allowed to go up to last year's economic growth in the current fiscal year.

Emperor,
The chief justice was caught in a compromising position with a woman other than his wife in a public place. And he carries on giving judgements on other peoples' morality and criminality!

All are rogues. Our country is saturated with corruption. There is no hope in hell for another millennium.

Bahirav,
There is no connection between Chief monks and the Supreme court or supreme court judges .Just like doctors taking oath of Hippocrates, these judges are sworned in as to act impartial.(there may be some rare exceptions ) . The Ultimate responsibility of the Supreme court is to safe guard the constitution,in this context this is the most trusted institution when it comes to prevention of bribery.

Aani,
I agree somehow present CJīs personal life has been a disgrace to the Supreme court, but what really matters is not as a person but as a institution .

It is true. The rate of corruption in Sri Lanka has been increasing significantly. The maor reason is law is not implemented correctly due to political influences. Generally richers have been earned more money while have taken more money as loans. If some body can stop state corruption we can expect a good county in next 10 yaers.
