Tamil Nadu is the home land for many Tamils.
The North East of Sri Lanka (aka Tamil Eelam) is the home land for some other Tamils.

Makes sense to me that Tamils have inhabited both sides of the Palk Straits.

Looks like your ethnic cleansing desires do not let you acknowledge the above facts.
