The solution is to rid poverty. You know the LNP member Vimukthi, he believes in Socialism. I am not a socialist for that matter but my hubby believes in that.
I don't think Ranil would have been good in any case. He is a traitor. He would have given the country to LTTE and sat back till the LTTE annhilate the other tamil parties. But the South would not have any developments. The UNP is interested in only open market policy than welfare consisting democratic governance.
I believe if Mahinda goes on like this he needs to fully crush the LTTE military strength(that will bring admin down in the de facto state). This is the golden opportunity to rally behind a situation where like we already have PCs.
JVP coming to power, thats a long shot, even if they come they will find hard to go back to full Socialism like my hubby and vimukthi say. because sanctions against such policy would kill our country. I feel semi-socialism (democratic) is the best. |

Capturing Vanni won't be as easy as the east. Even now what has happened in the east - MR has captured and given it to Karuna who runs his own administration, exactly like he was doing when he was in the LTTE. And Karuna is probably more ruthless than VP - Remember, the Pettah and Maradana bombs came from the east the mosque massacres and killing of the surrendered policemen all occured in the east. So the east victory is only a victory for Karuna.
I say now and will continue to say this: Military solution will be impossible, and even if achieved will be shortlived.
PCs are a joke. More duty free Pajeros and waste of funds. The PCs in the rest of the country should be abolished and the North East (as one or two) should have autonomy of some degree. Then you will see the difference.
You may now say RW is a traitor. But it is because of his peace accord that Karuna split from VP. During times of peace these things are more likely to occur. |

I would say that the military solution is not possible. But The LTTE should be dis armed to come to what ever negotiation.therefore the GOSL must first weaken the LTTE military power.
And there can not be two administrations in Sl. |

Mahinda is sqeezing the neck of ltte now.tigers are dying.Mahinda will not give any room to any one who tries to give oxygen to half dead tigers.Mahinda will not release his firm grip on tigers neck.As susei,swarnam,balraj & most tiger leaders are now out of action due to Mahinda's heavy assault, killinochchi will be a piece of cake to mahinda now.He will reach killinochchi withing 4 months.

Mahinda need some good PRs to make the world aware that Lanka is doing fine and the CFA and all that crap. Its important that IC are in view of Lanka doing fine. Only by that Mahinda can finish the terrorism otherwise these IC and HRW and AI would continue to be a real headache on peace talks etc.
We know peace talks don't work , but if the PRs can convince there is still peace talks available thats fine. |

Keep on dreaming. King Kong Mahinda's approach can do damage but will not deliver real victories. King Kong would have attacked North first if he had any chance of victory there. |
