Assume a mad man wearing an LTTE costume assaulted those pilgrims....

LTTE carders, with and without costimes, have massacred thousands of civilians and chased Sinhalese and Muslims away from the North.
So if one mad-man wearing an LTTE costiume merely assaulted a few civilians, everyone will say he must be a good LTTEer.

At least these NE people can go to kataragama and worship, do you think, sinhala people can go to Jaffna and bath in keeramalai tank?? It is insane to even think about it..
I think this is just a secular incident, and this policeman must be insane, look at his eyes,..
Telling this I do not approve the policeman's act..I condemn it. |

Whether this police man is insain or not, his act of beating the innocent people (be them devotees or any other nature) IS RUDE, and I strongly condemn.
No sinhalese want to beat innocent Tamils who were there at Kataragama on a pilgrim. Ven Monks and many other have condemned the act, news reporter says it in there.
IGP.. must take stern actions on this kind of culprits who do havoc in security uniforms.
Lot of members of Tamil origin have expressed their openions as if Southerners are always bound to beat notherners which is an UTTER LIE and not true at all.
Mucha, Gamiya had given enough on this and I dont think any other should panic on this 'isolated' insident which seems to have happened at the sight on that site.

Forget about the assailant. What is more interesting is how the pilgrims reacted.
Looks like they took it such a passive manner that reminds one some scenes from the movie 'Gandhi'.
Perhaps they could learn something from other religions how to react to 'insane' policemen.
