Yes, so caled opposition 'appears' to be growing. Cost of living is also an issue.
At the same time the US is sending 'medics' to run 'health clinics' in the East. The UK is deporting asylum seekers.Even in Norway things are changing slowly.
The world view on 'freedom struggle' has changed.
If 'opposition' gets stronger there could even be a military government.

This is so hilarious, the Sinhalese can't do anything without the help from Tamils since ancient time. Even now the Sinhala Veera Soorayas don't have the guts to say that they will protect the east from falling back to LTTE. They say LTTE can't recapture the east, because Karuna is with them. LOL :)
It is so pathetic, what happened to all the brave talks of Mahind Modabakshe? Karuna is nobody and Prabhakaran is in no hurry to capture the empty baron land of Kudumpimalai, but he made that empty no mans land as a prestige issue to the Sinhlaese.
LTTE will do sporadic attacks here and there to keep the thousands of Sinhala Veera Sooorayass busy around the empty hill of Kudumpimalai. Trust me, our Loka, don't do anything without a master plan. He had this grand plan when he appointed Percy Modapukshe as the president of Sorry Lanka. :))

What was Devenanda's achievement as a rebel?
As a politician what has he done for the Tamils or people in general that could be attributed to him?
How many folds did he increase his net worth after becoming a politician?
Sinhalese are blinded by their hatred for LTTE but the day they realize how much this guy has grabbed from the state they will shoot him. |

That was what i based my assumption initially..at the end of the day..u can go on saying to the people about winning the war..they will love that but for a common person what he got in his home to feed his family will be more important. Everything is going up in price. some in LNP space are doing well in life back in SL so they won't know it..
I am not saying MR lost it fully but he is slowly but surely losing it..like the UNP guys crossing over to MR , you will see some moving the other way..it is Politics

If a sri lankan left the country for any reason..whether Tamil or Sinhalese, there should be a review to give asylum or not!! There are a lot of Tamils in western countries but you get sinhala asylum seekers in Far east too.but i would hate to see them sent back..I met a family and did help the kid..may be they are not telling the truth but they do not want to get back to sl..That should be respected

Hmm..I don't think it is possible in a small place like SL but times are different and who knows..if that happens it will be a total disaster.

This is funny Rajiv Gandhi shows his stupidity for everyone to see. Sinhalese are not the indigenous people of Tamil Nadu or Sri Lanka, even they agree that they came from some where in La La land and often they make others to think they are still in La La land.
The racist Sinhalese like Rajiv is in dilemma, they love to say, the Tamils don't belong in Sri Lanka at the same times they need dutu gemunu story to justify their hatred against Tamils and narrow minded racism.
If they argue that Tamils are new comers, then their favorite hate literature Mahavansa becomes a total fantasy of drunken monks. The Sinhala Royal families had marriage contacts with the Tamil kings of Tamil Nadu and ran to them for help whenever they wanted to kill their own brother and other than that, the Sinhalese never had any kingdom or any settlement n Tamil Nadu.
Then why the hell they should have any rights in Tamil Nadu?
