This is the reason I don't read Tamil papers keeping up-side-down even if it is distributed free of charge! but seem that you try what ever when it is distributed free of charge!! :):))

really how about the other thousands of innocent civilians, Muslims, Tamils, and Sinhalese the LTTE massacred en masses since then?

You may be right because Tamils were killed and were on the run many times before 1983. Tamils youths felt enough was enough, don't expect Tamil youths to be Mahathma Gandhis and Jesus Christs to turn their cheeks repeatedly.
In 1958 SLA started shooting civilians in Northeast and protected thugs that went on killing Tamils and destroyed their properties as documented in the 'Emergency 58' written by then Daily News editor Tarzi Vittachi - cetrtianly not an LTTEer.
