I'm not disputing your story. But LTTE is no better...
You might be interested in the following article, describing the torture chambers in LTTE's Thoppigala camps. It is suspected that nearly 100 civilians have been tortured and killed in these cells.

The bottomline is that Sinhales have learned a lesson from their past mistakes. Some Tamils still seem to have not emerged from this primitive brutality...

Remember, Toppigala was the Eastern HQ of Karuna... it is very likely that these photos, if they indeed exist, were from Karuna time... Karuna was known to have kidnap Tamils and totured...

We cannot see any sign that Sinhalese ruling elitists have changed at all. Defence.lk and other media are involved in propaganda and as such we cannot believe it. Do they ever publish any abduction and killing which are committed by SLA and paramilitaries in the army controlled areas of the Northeast? No. HR Commissions and police reports reveal many 100s of such atrocities. Even the top judge appointed by the preident said that 2045 civilians were abducted but hardly anything is reported in defence.lk.
The govt want LTTE to do what theo do so that they can justify their actions. If they have changed they can concentrate of finding a solution to this 50-year old problem. MR appointed APRC whose Chairman produced a report in Feb 2007, instead of negotiating it MR wants war and destruction.
We can produce statistics but nothing tangible is done by any govt in our history.
Bindunuweewa, killing of 27 aidworkers and similar incidents without any legal action to curb them dispute your claim.

very sad to see the LNP just become another chat room instead of a productive discussion form.
There 10's of senior members who have reached 1000's of post but most of them looks like just chat room transcripts with no productive thoughts at all.

Um do you believe counting land mines is impossible? Or are you trying to say that no one counted and these are just lies?
I don't know about the later for sure, but the former, counting landmines, is very possible. :) |
