War is always horrific. But the world history has proved that only way to achieve peace is war. Heroes of our earlier generations have sacrificed their lives to save us a better country and a better world. In the World Wars entire cities were destroyed and thousands and thousands were killed. People tolerated heavy sufferings in order to achieve peace. But the war continued until the victory. Otherwise today all the Europe or even the whole world might be under Hitler and the war would be still there.
But in Sri Lanka some people wanted short cuts to achieve peace by going for so called peace talks. That is why we are still having a war and an enemy stronger than ever before.
So what we have to do today is to support the war until it is finished without mourning and to oppose any kind of peace talks ever again.

Army using civilians as human shields to move around and putting them in arms way is a crime against humanity.

Only during Nagenahira navodaya celebrations in Colombo GOSL Army given good uniform and polished shoes......in reality all the Army guys are in a pathetic state without shoes, uniforms even food......left with under wear, slippers and given stale food....this was stated recently in Lankan Parliament.....hoo hooooo

Ajan, we are yet to see evidence of 300,000 Tamil civilians killed by the Armed forces. Please provide evidence to support your statement.
IT will take life time to get all details of the three hundred thousands.
there are thousands of chemmani graves needed to be unearthed to prove th claim.
and it is a task that would take years. currently we have to rely on the statistic.
but because of the war it is not easy to gether information.
people are displaced and displaced disapeared in the hands of security forces.
final count could be dont by counting scelleten , sometimes checking the seabeds.
it is not straightforward things.

so far 6500 civilians,700 soldiers and 3000 LTTE have died.
Where or how did you get these figures? Don't tell others they were given by defence.lk, asiatribune, news.lk, the island or any of the govt controlled media?
