this is what many Tamils have to say. they are either displaced or have lost parents and now with no food to eat.
this is the reality not pears wish towards the Tamils.

if you want 1/3 land for 4% of Sri lankan Tamils covering 2/3 of the coastal area then be prepared to sacrifice more lives.

to reuters report ltte advanced into enemy occupied territory and are consolidating there.]

sla has suffered huge losses in both men and material

Everything that comes from the west is not so rosy. The more you fractionalize a country, the more you limit the resources. Tell me, would Quebec be economically better than Canada if is was separated? Would Quebec then enjoy the riches of Canadian oil fields? It would be a barren country with no resources. Is this what you dream for eelam?


This is the 21st century. This is a question for the people of Quebec. If you or I decide that from them, we are a Colonial/foreign power deciding their fate. Same goes for the people of the North and East. If there is a UN adminsitered referendum and the people of the North and East decide on their future course, all outsiders (Sinhalese southerners like you and TN Tamils like me) have to accept it.

Anyway, however improbable, say that the referendum is won for Eelam. Would foreign govt accept an internationally wanted criminal as head of state?


Recognition of Eelam will legitimize the subversive actions of the LTTE and Prabhakaran. Likewise, if SL is derecoginzed (just for reasoning), all your past presidents will have to stand trial for crimes against humanity.

Looks like you depend on Reuters and the SLA spokesperson too now, what happened to your friends in PLuto?

Hey Tiggy, did you know that Thoppigala had a complex of caves where a lot of rats were hiding. The SLA after asking them nicely to come out and surrender poured gasoline and diesel and set it alight. Apparently there is a Tunnel Rat squad of the SLA fashioned from the legendary Tunnel Rats of Vietnam Era that went in after the flames went out and dragged out more than 60 bodies. Bet you will not hear this from your Pluto buddies becasue this was told to me by a Major who was on leave from Thoppigala. Why don't you ask you friends who will confirm the presence of these caves and what has happened to them.

1. You would create a mess if provinces are allowed to separate on it's own. We would have hundreds of minute country's popping up all over the place, and dying a natural death from the lack of resources. Not practical, my dear sir.

2. You cannot compare Quebec to Sri Lankas NE, because a. Quebec was not headed by a terrorist b. Because Quebec is not ethnically cleansed as in NE. Any referendum held in NE would now not be fair, because there the Sinhala and the Muslim populations are driven out of these provinces by VP.
