if i were you i wouldnt even try to compare criminal statistics of Sinhala and Tamils in middle east or any where around the world. The bottom line is we are all human and the world see more Tamil criminals due to poor initial development due to this liberation struggle.
lets wait for the Easter elections. That would tell what the Sri lankan Tamils want and not what you lot want out of your second home sri lanka. |

Here is a thought: The Tamil terrorism or freedom fight, what ever you call it is a conspiracy to get all he Tamils in to the West. In five years time there will be more Tamils in Europe, Canada and Australia than there are in Sri Lanka. I am sure they will not be calling for a homeland in those countries, Singapore, Malaysia.
Ironically it is in India that they should be calling for their homeland, which is clear from at least via the routes of languages that it is Dravidian homeland, if ever there was one.
I grant you that the Dravidian civilisation was one of the greatest in the world. Unfortunately they never had land to call their own. They have been kicked up their ass all the way along from the Ethiopian plains, it is alleged to Southern India via Afghanistan. Having been beaten, flogged, raped, brutalised by every Tom, Dick and Sanjay, their plans is now to seek a homeland in a tiny Island. Surely that small piece land is not sufficient for a great civilisation such as Dravidian! The violence by LTTE is merely a vehicle for Tamils to move on to their next ?home land?!

Thank you Kamani, I don't think these people will ever learn how to live peacefully and to respect others. This is how they have been brought up. The foundation should be strong in a person to leade to a respected human being. Basically they are animals.

Hi The Kurunegala High Court has sentenced a brother who pleaded guilty to sexually abusing his own sister, to fifteen years rigorous imprisonment.
The High Court Judge while convicting the accused stated that it was the first time in his career that this type of an incident came before his court and stated that the maximum penalty should be imposed though the accused had pleaded guilty to the charges.
According to the indictment the offence had been taken place in 1997 and the accused was indicted in 2003. At the initial stages of the trial the accused had been absconding and was later arrested and remanded.
At the time of the incident accused had been twenty three years old and was a father of one. The victim was also married at the time. While the trial was proceeding the accused unconditionally pleaded guilty and was sentenced to fifteen years RI. The Court also imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000 in default.
State Counsel Yohan Liyanage prosecuted while attorney-at-law Rohan Premaratne appeared for the accused. |
