Mr. Gunasekera explained that there was an ethnic problem in the country and that there should be a solution to it. 'There should be devolution of power within a united country,' he pointed out.

Wow!! nice saying ....but There is no so-called 'ETHNIC PROBLEM'in the country.Theres a PROBLEM OF POVERTY which has never been addressed by any of the Government came to Power in past decades! MOST OF THE TAMILS AND SINHALESE LIVE IN POVERTY!
In all those Governments, Some MPs ie: Theorists Like Mr Gunesekara, kept talking Bullshits..
And the rest kept doing their businesses feeding themselves and their relatives.Their POLITICS WAS Based on Corruptions , feeding Underworld, bribes, women and Etc!!

We never had Genuine Politicians who Worked for people!

We dont wont any more POWER DEVOLUTION!! All we need is People who can Exersise the Power in a genuine Manner for the sake of all the peolpe, May it be Tamils ,Muslims, Sinhalese!! We NEED MPs who are practical and NOT filthy powerhungry fat piggy thugs OR bullshit talking people like MR Gunesekara!

Warmonger,

I do not understand these crap mentalities. They go to western country using the mess they created as an excuse to go. Settle down and call that country as their new homeland.

Send money to fat Mudali and co, and increase the chaos in their old country and want to have another homeland in their old homeland.

Even if you live among 100% Tamils in a Tamil country, people get irritated with other people due to different reasons. That is the human nature. However if you an Educated Tamil living among Other Sri lankans, if something you do not like happen, you could cry RACISM! You get upset and try to find a greener pasture. That is the official story. The real story is you wanna earn more money in a developed country :)

OK, when you leave Sri Lanka, you think you had to leave the country because of the Racism. You feel like humiliated and getting even. How to get even?? Send some $ to Mudalai to equip his child soldiers with state of the art wepons.

Now you are happy. Child soldiers fight YOUR war (but of course you send your children to University of London:), so that you feel happy every time the LTTE blow up something in the south (just like Mr Berty here in LNP:). Vist all news web sites to do cut and paste jobs... to CELEBRATE. Same time, just drop few words with reference to Civillians (just like Ratmalana bomb incidence) to be politically correct!

You feel like you are even with the racist Sinhalese. Little you understand that you are helping the mudalali to terminate you own Tamil race.. just to get 'even' with Sinhalese!

Cheers

PERA

In your earlier post it is TRUE sometimes what the Sinhalese feel as normal day to day life, the Tamils will feel it is discrimination or Racism (in your words) like taking Tamils in from Colombo or the recent Lodge issue etc..but in 1983 a lot of Tamils (educated and not so educated) left for a different reason..so all who left SL did not leave for the simple reason for earning in a developed country..!

Astro, pal:

Also as far as I know Tamil people can do what ever they like in Sri Lanka. They can enter to universities, trading, jobs, can buy land houses in any where.....

Used to be like that... but, slowly Sinhala thugs took over, with the backing of some SInhala governments..... 1st Tamils lost jobs, then lost land in Trinco etc, then they lost university entrance slots, and more and Tamils could not take it any more and VP appeared! Thats where we are now!
