Mr. Brown, how do you elevate one to be a senior member, by the number of postings or the duration.

I had joined this forum in 1995 and had a handle and suddenly it went off.

'We have missed many opportunities in the past and if we miss it this time, we will have to co-exist with terrorism for ever,' he stressed.

This is quite true.

Ruwani, pal:

people from the Communist party stood up for the rights of minorities and actually as history tells us they fought for it.

Yes you are right... they did... but, those intellectual fools were switching sides and making a bigger mess to ruin any good agreement with Tamils... Of course, there have been great Sinhala people who understood Tamil problem... but, same time many fools came up to destroy them!

SRI Lanka?s Hindu king Devanampiyatissa (246 BCE), who ruled from Anuradhapura in the north-central province of Sri Lanka was on a hunting mission and chasing after a spotted deer.

Tissa, the son of Mutasiva belongs to the Deva gothra and belonging to Deva gothra does not make him a hindu. We had our own gods in the island and didnt follow the indian hinduism. King Asokha gave him Devanampriya - Tissa. Tissa who is likeed by the gods.

I have always addressed eelamists as Bloody because if you were to see a Naadu movie all what you will see is cutting and chopping. It's in their culture, the roads of Naadu are paved with blood. It looks like a 'mas kade'. That's why I am so opposed to having them here. I want them exiled back to Naadu. Hope you will understand my feelings.

Ruwani, though we cant digest this since its alien to us this is what actually happens in the rural areas of india. in recent past in Tamil Nadu police came and killed many people, this happened in culkata and happening in bihar too. the films shows the ground realities.

In Sri Lanka almost every socialist political parties, including Sama samaja, Communist, New Sama samaja, People's party etc always identify and talking about the Tamil's problems as far as I know. The only party is not giving any of their own solution is JVP. But when Mr. Rohana Wijeweera was alive he had a plan to join with LTTE to against for India and some other issues.

In 1952 when Mr.Bandaranayake promised to the Monks that he is going to make only Sinhala language as a official language in Sri Lanka, Mr.Colvin R.de Silva warned that 'if you make one language there will be a two countries and if you make two languages there will be a one country.'

Although I am totally against LTTE and criticizing them always, but for some issues like language and etc we must give some solutions to Tamil people.
I have my personal experience as a foreigner when I am visiting to Malaysia. Everything is in Malay language and facing various difficulties when try to communicate and do some work. So we have to be fairness for some issues to Tamil people.

Sri Lanka's Hindu King
, well, well, well, repeating the same lie over and over again makes it a truth, or does it?

When they thought it is merely impossible to claim for 50-50 in the Sri Lankan parliament, they eyed on the Northern and Eastern provinces to play a game with demography to gain 100% control. When they found only 1/3 of East is Tamil, a merger of North and East was proposed. In the meantime genocide of Sinhala and Muslims in these provinces have been carried out.

All failed, it seems they are taking out mothballed scripts to relaunch everything from point zero. Feel sorry for these poets, who write history in imagination and seek reference from 'Lon Halichcha' communists.
