Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse out of country

Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse left the country Saturday on an unscheduled visit leading to speculation it was a reflection of growing concern in government circles of the international pressure on the human rights situation.
Rajapakse left the country with his family.
His departure came in the backdrop of growing controversy over his role as Defence Secretary with former Port Development Minister Sripathi Sooriyaarachchi, also having made a police complaint 48 hours earlier accusing him of an assassination attempt.
The UN Security Council too discussed the Sri Lankan situation last month with France calling for a more pro active role by the International Criminal Court of Justice.
Last week also saw 50 US Congressmen writing to President George Bush urging for stepped up action in Sri Lanka and urging an end to extra judicial killings and human rights abuses by both parties to the conflict.
The Morning Leader learns there are no immediate plans by the Defence Secretary to return to the country. However sources at the Defence Ministry told The Morning Leader there are unconfirmed reports he is expected to return on July 15.

It is been said that Gotha and family was sent on a mission to buy 200 MT of Punnakku for the cominng year.
If you are correct, all those 200 MT of Punnakku will be delivered to North for the consumption of Sun Goat and his Brained wased followers soon. Just to keep you happy. |

LTTE leadership should be finished off to liberate all the Tamils, Muslims, and Sinhalese from their 30 years of genocide and barberism.
Stopping all the Diaspora funding will certainly weaken the LTTE killing machine.
If Tamil diaspora really care about the well-being of their fellow Tamils living in Sri Lanka, and they love peace and harmony in Sri Lanka, they should reject LTTE demands for funds.

If the LTTE is finished off the Govt and the SLF will finish Tamils without any opposition as happened in the anti-Tamil riots between 1956 and 1983.
Alraedy Karuna Group is divided into Pillayan and sub-Karuna. British colonialism applied Divide and Rule but Sinhala colonialism indulges in Split and Annihilate. |
