The only way to marginalized LTTE is to make Sri lanka a Federation of states de-centralizing powers extensively. At the same time it should try to form a confederation with India,(Perhaps later much bigger Asian union similar to the EU) thus diluting the nationalism of both communities .Then we will emerge with a new identity as Sri lankans.
This is not going to happen as long as chauvinism prevails !

samarasinghe has accepted that progress has been slow/lltte
is not making the mistake they made at vaharai where their
fdl defences at parichenkerni was strong but did not pay attention to an assault by sla sf from the rear.IN thoppigala the sla commandoes and sf is having a difficult time as the ltte cadres are constantly moving around in the area thus making it difficult forva pincer or attack from the rear.

they were armed poachers in a no go area. What do you expect them to do other than shoot them?-
So on the words of the SLAF/ army you justify shooting people. Do you know even those convicted after lengthy trial with jury are found to be innocent? There are so many such cases in the Western world. Army or LTTE/ or paramilitaries will try to justify their criminal activities. The court after proper trial must determine the guilty and not police or army. This is anarchy. This is not a police state. Why do you have courts if you let army/police carry out extra judicial executions?

Just leave LTTE's Eelam aside for a while and concentrate on ruling party's 'District Councils' within the Unitary State.
Tamils mandated for Eelam in 1976 after trying peaceful talks and resulting agreements such as Regional Councils in 1957 and District Councils in 1965. In the absence of a viable devolution only, Eelam will become the untimate demand.
