Too sad that you have short memory of history... At the time of independence, what % of admin positions were held by Tamils? look at it now? Sirima passed regulation in parliment to limit Tamil kids entering the univesities...
I do not have exact dates and numbers, but those are facts discussed in this forum itself, many times!

In fact now Tamil students enter University thanks to the district quota system.
the real problem these buggers have is that where the number of jafana entrance were reduced just like colombo while the poor tamils from batti and trinco were able to get more numbers in
so this clearly shows this problem only confined to so called jafana tamils. |

If i see a report in any papers against the Gosl i will post it in here..why not? if someone can write it why not we read it..anyway let us move on..
of course, you can get 'even' with GOSL. You could be elated over LTTE attacks and celebrate that. It is up to you:)

This is one reason you say you are discriminated. the truth is sinhalese have moved forward than Tamils.. becasue of war, Tamil students get into University less and less. |

and ah yes you have a point....................
before the indipendence the whole administration were ran by the so called the aligte jafana tamils whicy were harnece by the brits, and yes after the independance they lost thier poweer since thier masters left the country to thier people.
so i think no we all can see how this problam started after the we tamils lost thier privilages under the brits( it hink we all remember the 50:50 deman by ponna)... |

However if you an Educated Tamil living among Other Sri lankans, if something you do not like happen, you could cry RACISM! You get upset and try to find a greener pasture. That is the official story. The real story is you wanna earn more money in a developed country :)
UR real reason for Sinhalese leaving the country
Educated Sinhalese leave the country to
a. earn more money
b. have a better life in a developed country
c. give a better future to their children
d. escape terrorist bombs funded by the Educated Tamils living abroad
I don't see much difference
