Terror lord and his murderers recognized internationally....
Major funding blow for LTTE

By Walter Jayawardhana
Canada, which has increasingly become a fertile ground for supplying funds for the LTTE has announced new laws to combat money laundering and financing terrorist activities.
?Canada?s government will be relentless in its efforts to prevent money laundering and terrorist? funding, said Jim Flaherty, the country?s Finance Minister announcing the new regulations to fight terrorism.
The LTTE, an organization that flourished under the former Liberal government of Canada is a proscribed terrorist organization under the new conservative government but the LTTE is allegedly funding and engaging in money laundering for Sri Lanka?s terrorism, operating under varied front organizations. The new regulations are expected to combat, the LTTE, Al-Queda and other terrorist organizations banned under Canadian law.
?We are taking an international leadership role to combat money laundering and terrorist financing by devoting substantial new funding to bolster our analytic, investigative and prosecution resources,? the Finance Minister further added.
Under the new regulations that were also published in the Canada Gazette Part 11 on June 27 all attempted suspicious transactions have to be reported to the government.
Under the new measures introduced enhanced information sharing among Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Center of Canada (FINTRAC) law enforcement agencies and other domestic and international agencies will be established.

You only had heard about crimes committed by Karuna...

GOSL of course is wrongfully blaming VP for some crimes to tarnish VP's image... You should understand how VP beat Indians, now fighting a war against all odds and still keepinh hope for Tamils, around the world! These are the attractive points for top school like Harvard B-School!

Eelamaya,

buddy,

If they wanted a person with such attrative points they would have invited Osama bi laden for the job not prabhakaran. and for the crimes committed by karuna while he was in LTTE goes to the account of the leader of the organisation. thats why Milasovic of serbia was taken to court.

but i do sympathises with you for your need to uplift the morale of the vaning diaspora.

Sinhala terrorist GOSL Drama will no more work with International community......little by little getting isolated and no more AID to kill tamils and fill the pockets of JVP, JHU & SLFP criminals

Canada has urged Sri Lanka to uphold human rights and work towards a political solution to the ethnic conflict that has claimed thousands of lives. Sri Lanka's battered peace process should start soon, and Colombo and the Tamil Tigers should resume talking again to end renewed bloodshed, MP Deepak Obhrai, Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs, told Sri Lanka's Minister of Export Development and International Trade Professor Gamini Lakshman Peiris when they met to discuss the present situation in Sri Lanka.
