The VP factor is actually sliding the country towards back.
JRJ,
Why not for a change address those core issues that caused all the mayhem in the island? VP is an after factor and there is no use putting all the blame on VP!

Lets assume VP factor is the cause of all the problems?
Then how would you go about solving it, by killing Tamils, raping Tamils, mutilating Tamils, you think VP will stop when the Gvt of SL does these outright HR violations?
Even Sooriarachi has complained to police that he has been threatened with murder, so dont worry it wont be too long before Rajapakses make the sinhala areas insecure with breaches of all types HR violations!! then the sinhala masses will cry foul! |

Robins,
I am not denying human rights violations by the government but one cannot solely blame the government for all the problems. Its the better the devil you know scenario than anything else.
People want to live peacefully, for that matter let it be Tamils or Sinhalese they want security not pressure from either side.
What VP has created is that anybody who supports against his party to be called as traitors and that is what engulfed amongst the folks. If VP can give an assurance of support to for the PC, then on government looking to reality something at the end of tunnel may just crop up.
Its no point we dwell in the past and still blame the past for the present mess even though its right to a certain extent. We have to move on with new feasible solution than anything else.
No point pumping heaps and stack of money for war either side when we have the potential to sort out the mess that we created.
Its a compromise mate, not just waiting to blame the other party to get something from them, you won't get anything if youdo that. Its like a job, the job doesn't come to you but you need to get there etc. Its a collective work than individual thingy.
