Hey this statement should give a mild heartburn to the GoSL terrorists for a number of reasons.

1) The US isn't buying your line about having nothing to do with Karuna.

2) Asking you GoSL to disolve the gang, is a direct part of the CFA that they hate so much LOL.

But don't worry these blighters just talk a lot I doubt they will actually do anything, so just go on your merry way... for now.

Karuna has outlived his purpose of capturing the East, which was confirmed when the army lured Pillyan away from him. The US knows this and wants Karuna group 'dissolved' thereby wanting the Govt to do what has past its sell by date.

When the Govt ditch Karuna US can state they also lean on the Govt after proscribing Tigers.

Will it lead to any talk or negotiation? It's doubtful as Rajapakse brothers smell victory in their kitchen.

Boucher,

You can ask the LTTE to dissolve it's self.
You can ask Karuna Group to dissolve it's self.

You can support the GOSL in the Global War Against Terror..

The Choice is entirely your's

UK is a civilised country.

Those arrested can expect justice from British Courts.

Even though there is racism in the police the Govt ministers always legislated and executed the laws following the principle of equality. Even if one incident of racism is published high level investigations try to eliminate it. But in Sri Lanka 2095 people were killed and 1045 went missing, yet, nothing constructive is done.

In the case of Northeren Ireland both parties to the conflict were treated as equal partners. When the 'terrorist' IRA's representative Gerry Adams was invited to the White House the British PM or other leaders did not accuse the facilitator US as in the case of Sri Lanka they made Norway an outcast.

Afghanistan has more than 30 external & internal war lords. Therefore if SL wants to reach Afghanistan's level of success they need more war lords in SL. We should not try to reduce the number of war lords in if SL were to succeed. More factions are required in SL. SLFP(M) fraction is a minor progress.

Karuna has already accepted democratic path to come to power. If he recruits child soldiers we can take that seperately. But at this stage we must make use Karuna fraction to destroy LTTE in North.
