JRJ:
Nice summer morning with mild tempuratures and bright sun shine. Can't complain. It would icing on the cake if I have a tennis partner.
BTW, on the policitical front, AT says that Mangala can become the opposition leader. With JVP votes Mangala can get more votes than Ranil. Interesting development. He can do whatever in the opposition. But, at this point he shouldnt rock the boat by trying to topple the govt. Everyone must support the troops engaged in a bitter terrorist war. At the same time everyone must pressure the govt to formulate power decentralizaion plan to finish the job that troops started. I am willing to go extra distance by address all the issues from national flag downward.
My notion of patriotism is bit different. I don't think we should fight ever a symbol. My patriotism is to improve the standard of living and make every citizen of the country enjoy life without terrorism. We have to harvest the fruits of global economy. Make SL an attractive place for investment and to live. That will make all of us proud.
Shouldnt write long stories, I will fall into Mathanamutha category.

| Yes. US tells others to negotiate but they do that militarily in other parts of the world. The reasons for this is they need a market to dump their old weapons, test new weapons, keep resources of others for their benefits. I don't think US has an interest on SL. They don't mind what we are doing. US media can write anything but US govt does not bother about them. LTTE supporters must understand these facts. Finally GOSL will defeat LTTE with any cost. As they have liberated East now they may concentrate more on North, specially Vanni. |

MY opinion about LEN is that it is a anti - govt, UNP or just tries to irresponsible publication.
I did not think at least LEN is capable of writing on a title like this.

I don't know why you would compare Al-Q'uida with the LTTE. Like the article says, Al-Q'uida has no borders. The LTTE restricts its territorial ambitions to the North and East of Sri Lanka. The LTTE relies exclusively on guerilla warfare Al-Q'uida uses whatever means are at its disposal. The biggest difference is that Al-Q'uida wants to bring the USA down. Al-Q'uida's battle will last at least as long as the USA is around, since the USA has important economic and security interests in the Middle East.

Who gave birth to Al Quada ?
Who brought up Bin laden ?
Who brought up LTTE ?
Untill we are able to realise these bitter truth, we are not able to have a healthy discussion. |

Why ask us to negotiate while America is fighting terrorism ?
Because all terrorits are in the parliament and half of them are holding ministerial posts. The wo(men) in uniform can't fight them, but protect them. And in the name of fighting a war, they are all making money and the ordinary people are suffering.
It is so simple to understand, if one has got as much as a half of a bird's brain. |

| I think the SL UN rep Dayan Jayathilake will read this out in general assembly to support the liberation struggle of LTTE. As a strong advocate of liberation for oppressed he had this type of thinking. But Mahinda ayya like Premadasa took him to his boat. |
