You have a lot to learn about the Tamils in the UK. I have seen our community progress so much, even the ones who arrived after 1983 troubles, the so called refugees. I know Tamils who cant even speak good English doing really well running mostly Retail businesses, out of them they earn much more than average Income in this country, lot of them earn in excess of £100000 per annum, through sheer hard work and right understanding and attitude towards good business providing good customer service.
These guys earn even better than educated folks, making the educated folks really jealous. However as you know Tamils really educate their children and now I see most of these 'uneducated ' men and women aggressively educating their children. I can see big rewards because of that most Grammer schools Private schools have Sri Lankan tamils doing very well. In the last few years number of Tamil youngsters entering every good university for variety of courses. Also noticeable is the gradutates too chosing very rewarding carrers in medicine engineering finance etc.
Its a good success story indeed, recently I attended an asian celebration where there were successfull Indians and Pakistanis and over a hundred SL Tamils, I didnt see that many Sinhala folks except your Madam CBK chatting to thses Tamils nicely mourning and groaning about this cruel Mahinda!!lol

People prefer to learn a language to make their GF's happy ..rather than learning one of the official languages of SL lolz |

Electricity is not a major issue..
If you look back Anuruddha Ratwatte had special Electricity provided for his wedding when there was Power cuts to the country
It is not only happening in South, it happened in Kandy too..

LEt's give up Sri Lanka and we go to Tamil Nadu.
Because, India supposed to be our original country. We establish our homeland anywhere in India and we select Tamil Nadu.
