I was hoping against hope that MR might succeed in his brutish ways in tackling VP. That was before the Rajapaksa-Koti Givisuma came to light. Even then, there was no reason to totally loose hope -since, may be- whatever the then givisuma was, now MR & VP are at each others gullets - and MR has all means to win.
But as the days pass by, the truth of what one wise man once said is proving to be horrifyingly true.
LTTE Does not have to do anything ..but to leave a rope long enough by the roadside. GoSL will hang itself
Today LTTE looks increasingly like a government.
GoSL of MR is looking like the mess hall in the loony bin at breakfast time.
Now we hear that the MR government is begining to crack. Given the survival camaraderie usually shown by moronic associations, it will somehow survive.
The only hope perhaps is to convince GoSL and the Rajapaksa Inc, that they should leave behind their jokerlives on earth and ascend gracefully to higher luxuries of eternal harrak-dom.

He wants 50,000 more. But will he actually get 50,000 more? And how long will it take - what is a reasonable approximation as far as the time taken to achieve such an objective is concerned? Unless this 50,000 goal is feasible within a working time-frame, all else is speculation.
A much better solution would be to just have a draft. Manpower would never be an issue then. You would have the 40,000 to hold Jaffna, another 40,000 to hold the East, etc. But we know who would be opposed to that... as usual, even though things CAN be done in SL by simpler methods, there is some element of corruption to slow down the whole process. |
