Ah... I get your point...

Next thing is, If GOSL understand this.

Think, JRJ understood the similar things just before 1983, this ride would have been shorter.

So, we have to nip in the bud.

Nirupam & DVLADV,

A soldier gets about Rs.14,000/= take home pay only, if he has no loans etc. Of course he gets Uniforms etc free of charge. A major gets around Rs.30,000/=
Of course the Salary of a Soldier has gone up, due to the nature of the Job & uncertainty, which has caught up with a Graduate Teachers starting salary, which was slightly below that of a young Officer in the 70s.

With re to the Deserters, as at 2003, there were over 80,000 Deserters from all three Services, total was almost 35%-40% from each Service. Deserter rate is about 5000 per year.
Amnesties are offered regularly & in fact some are regularly getting absent & used more than 3-4 such amnesties!
I do not have the figure today.

We don't have to prove anything to other morons. They always find something to criticize.

Only important thing is to acheive our final goal.

Livera 53,

Only one thing has to be change. Normal soldier getting 18000 net salary now.In SF it is 27000.

SLA have so many different regiments. In diyatalawa they are cultivating vegetable for local Market.

This is doing by retired army officers.

And also Eng force making armed cars for exports.

They are not only for fighting.
