Tokyo `Narita` Take Off - Destination Summer Vacation
Monday, 18 June 2007 - 2:01 AM SL Time

It`s always important to take care of your health, when you`re on the road.

The stress and excitement of travel can make you more likely to get sick.

I`ll give you few tips, try to follow them, and they will definitely help you to stay healthy and enjoy your trip safely.

Most common flying/traveling related health problems:

I) Jet lag.
To combat jet lag try to follow following recommendations

If you travel west to east, stay out of the sun until the day after your arrival.
If you travel east to west, go for a brisk walk as soon as possible after you arrive.

II) Altitude sickness.
To combat altitude sickness,

There is a drug known as acetazolamide (Diamox) can help relieve and even prevent symptoms of altitude sickness. You should take medicine at least 4hrs before the flight`s departure.
NB, but individuals who have disorders in/like kidneys, liver or diabetes and pregnant or nursing mothers should not take these tablets.

III) Diarrhea.
To combat diarrhea:

Food Safety:
What foods are safe to eat?
Any foods that have been boiled are generally safe, as well as fruits and vegetables that have to be peeled before eating. Stay away from foods that require a lot of handling before serving. Try to get bottled water from major beverage companies, if not always make sure you drink boiled water.

*Packing Medicine:
When you`re packing, you`ll want to include any medications and other medical supplies you use on a daily basis because they may be hard to find in another country if you run out.
NB, keep in your mind about the restricted drugs, and find out all the information about the regulations if you want to keep such medicine with you while traveling.
Remember about the chance of you getting sick while you are traveling so you may want to create a medical history form, should include the following information:
* Your name, address, and home phone number.
* A parent`s or other`s 24 hr contact possible phone number.
* Your blood type.
* Your doctor`s name and personal phone number.
* The name, phone number of insurance co, and your policy number.
* All of your chronic health problems.
* All the names of current medications you are taking.
* List of allergies (Name of your wife/husband or neighbor should not write here)
* Add other things if you think necessary.

Respect the laws and cultural values of the country or the region you are traveling, stay away from troublesome places, and do not take big amounts of currency with you.

Make sure you know the contact numbers of nearest diplomatic mission of your country.

Enjoy your vacation.

Nice video bro, I love flying, never get tired of it, and the best parts are of course take off and landing, crusing altitude can be fun too if you have interesting weather to observe, like thunderstorms or some such!

Revy Bro,

Nice video bro,

Thanks,

I love flying, never get tired of it,

I knew when I saw your yesterday's publication picture.

I have this habit of requesting window seats always.

Btw, you can see three major hotels and one of them is 'Narita Hilton' and 'Narita' airport is 40km away from Tokyo.
