TRUE FACTOR:
We should bring up our Fishery Industry, Harbors, Oil, Natural elements (such as ilmanite, phosphats etc), as raw materials to feed the ever growing india and china and use solar and wind powers as sources of energy in SL.
and use that money to go all around the world.
Right now,GOSL is renting our resources to the firendliest bidder.
If we develop, we can earn far better than this.
I think this is where, GOSL should rehire Expats to build these industries. |

I am not a supporter of shedding innocent 'Blood' whether in the North , South or East of Sri Lanka, BUT, If these arrogant guys of the LTTE are not willing to comprise on certain issues, I presume the Government has no other Choice !. Bowing to Western Pressure is a very difficult thing to Avoid,specially if it involves the biggest Bully on Earth - USA. However, the 'Advisors' & Think Tanks' should devise and handle these Western Governments in a very tactful manner.
the worst out come of this meeting if it is to be for a push in the UN security council to pass a resolution to deploy UN forces and agreed,,,,
i would like to know,,,2 info,,,
1)how many (number) UN forces and from which countries?
2)who have the overall command?

Well said. This GOSL is no better than UNP regime. These two parties destroyed this country over 60 years now. We need new good leaderships in SL to change the attitude of the people. I am tired of their ways of approach to national problems. This war can be finished within three months if they really wanted to. They wouldnt do that because they want to earn money first.
I think we should finish VP within next two months and give tamils a fair chance to co-exist in the society and bring English as the medium in Education. All national problem can be solved in a few months.

Let the Tamils finish VP, this is a fair chance to the Tamils. Let the Sinhalese finish the sinhala leaders, a fair chance to the Sinhalese.

I think this is where, GOSL should rehire Expats to build these industries.
The problem with the GOSL is there are too many crooks who really don't want to clean the dustbin. We all know developing Lanka is not an issue if there is correct infrastructure with the local exprets we have.
But how many times there are obstructions bythe government lackeys when some project goes ahead nicely?
With due respect to soldiers the war is also a part of making money for the politicians than real fighting and elimination of problems that is hindering development projects.

I agree with this. GoSL need not wait like they have been doing for the past 30 yrs or so. They can finish VP anytime, just that they don't like doing it!
