It will be wonderful if we can have new genuine ceasefire again. Even though there were shortcomings in the previous CFA , RW government was able to save thousands of lives. If not for Chandrika /JVP conspiracy and subsequent robbing of RW government we would have seen some progress. But extremist from both sides feared that peace in Sri lanka would make them useless, thus created havoc. no one should LTTE to give arms and their terror tactics within a short period of time. We should first address the root cause of terrorism and deal with such . when the root cause is address and solution given , the so called freedom fighters will not have a forum to argue their cause. RW was bold enough to understand that reality . But power hungry , jealous and wicked JVP and Chandrika combination created this current mess. Now Chandrika is living in London while MR and Co cerate havoc in SL without clear agenda as to how they are going to address the conflict. Gotabaya will vow to kill all LTTE members while MR will go round the world with a large entourage saying he is for peace but wants to fight terrorism. I think he should tell the world as to how we are going to solve this problems. His type of village council will not do anything.
BTW Tamil and Sinhal Diaspora have a serious role to play too. they should think very hard about tis problem which has been dragging on fro many decades. who thought, ten years ago, IRA and DUP in northern Ireland would sit together and rule their province. In Sri Lanka Tamils and Sinhalese do not hate each other despite germs spred by LTT and Southern extremist. the History will show that they have looked after each other for many decades. i am sure we all can live in Harmony again. But that can not be achieved only through a military solution while sacrificing innocent village folks . |

Let us talk with the reality. This CFA was signed because of the victory from Unceasing wave-3 and the defeat of Aknni Kheela. Everyone knows the situation before this CFA, i.e., Jeyasikkuru and CBK's 'War for Peace'. Now everyone must have realised the meaning of 'War for Peace'. Where is CBK now? Busy with family wedding! Now MR's 'War on Terror'. After few years, he will be busy with his navy son's wedding in U.K. Co-Chairs may meet again and again. But LTTE will never come to the table as long as they demonstrate that they are strong as they did in Unceasing wave-3 and Aknni Kheela. So one can expect the demonstration of LTTE or the UN sanctions on GOSL! Noone knows which one comes first out of these two options!

PERA it would be hard to get rid of Norway and the co-chairs unless the warring parties give Norway 14 days notice to cancel the CFA.
without the CFA cancellation notice, simply they will not go away.
