US is a multi ethnic country but Govt. language is English. It doesn't matter which country you go Govt.official language is the majority language. If you want to have Tamil as govt,language why don't you move to Jaffna and fight the damn war. If you love Eelam so much you should stay in SL and at least become a suicide bomber to save your ppl. You guys escape to another countries and wait until some stupid uneducated people to create an Eelam for you. It will never happens. |

| When dealing with Eric Solheim Mr MR should be very tacful as this guy bias toward LTTE. Most of SriLankans know what is the role of Norwegians in this war. They want to keep LTTE active all the time by giving moral and financail support. Though all EU countries have banned LTTE Norway still has not accepted it. |

What would the Govt 'give in' to? Peaceful parliamentary debate, NO, peaceful protests, NO, negotiations and signing agreements, NO, NO and now destructive armed struggle -NO.
No is the answer to whatever the question is. What is the quarantee that giving up arms which is not an option will ensure a 'feasible' solution? |

Even an advanced country like US also use one govt. language. That is English. So mottarala get this.Sinhala will be the govt. language in SL for next century. You idiots can stay in Europe and dream about a peelam. Until your uncle Praba put down the weponary North and East will be sorry states. Only thing I feel bad is about the innocent poor Tamil live in Jaffna who get harrassed by both sides.

You are absolutely right. Most of Tamils living in abroad do not want an Ealam but raise their voice for such a ching because if war in Sri lanka continues only they can get advantages from those countries. Specially bringing their friends and relatives, getting goverment funds for resettlement, educating their children etc. If there is no war in Sri Lanka most of Tamils living in foreign countries will have to go back to Sri Lanka. So they keep contributing to LTTE funds to enhance the flames of this bloody war. If millions of peaceful Tamils living in South of Sri Lanka with Sinhalese and muslims why others can't?. You can't cheat the world everday. |

I do not think you have reached the required standard to enter a rational argument. You compare JVP that bulldozed to overthrow the elected govt that too by their community and install a Marxist govt by backdoor with LTTE a group fights to regain the lost rights with either devolution of power to the oppressed minority in their traditinal areas or fight for the mandate the democratic leadership of Tamils overwhelmly got (95%) after disiilutionment of long and arduous peaceful protests. |

I don't want to argue on something I have clearly said before and I still stay with it, which is to implement the pCs to run the country efficiently.
Sri Lanka is known as 'Thun Helya' The Three Helayas, that is Ruhunu Rata, Pihiti Rata and Maya Rata.
Basically Pihiti rata is where most of the Tamils and Muslims lived subsequent to Chola and Pandya invasion, right? Maya rata is where western and central provinces are right? Ruhunu Rata is Southern & Uva Provinces.
But Tamil Eelam according to Pirapa has corners of both Maya and Ruhun rata. All I am saying is it doesn't make sense to me. This is why Provincial councils such as different 9 provinces do make sense.
When the Portugese came in 1505 they colonised the the coastal areas of both maya and pihiti rata and thats why you have this Tamil Kingdom belief, but thats subsequent to Chola Pandya invasion, before that, there were many Sinhalese lived (the hela people, not the dravidians)there. But the Cholas chased them to the south and they could not get the lost land and that is how you create the Tamil homeland concept. In reality the Tamil stability in the NE is not more 600-700 years old. So if you are talking after those years you are correct but before that the 'helas' lived there.
Tigy, I think we all know what to do dear. Just pack up this dream concept and live in peace, becase when we die you or I don't know where we are going to be born. You may be a Sinhalese sister and I may be a Tamil brother, so why not just live together and form brotherhood/sisterhood without talking for a piece of land :)
