it is possible those young ones wear that sort of necklace. during the CFA peaceful time, plenty of money and jewelries went to north and east from overseas!!
That is exactly what i wanted to hear..so this picture was taken when there was CFA in place

But ru thinking that this Child was born in the Van..by looking at the picture and the position
Malli this child was born in the ship and this is an ambulance that is taking them to the hospital ..
The worrying part in this picture you see a lady wearing a Gold thick necklace...one will DARE to wear a Gold necklace at this time in North.
We were trying to get a clear picture as to when this picture was taken..and we think it was taken during good times when there was Peace..(during CFA) no wonder this lady is wearing the necklace without any worries.. |

Did you see that the other lady next there is a civilian too, and she may be a raltive of the girl giving birth.
See that she is openly wearing one of the most expensive gold jeweleries too.
LTTE most oftenly try to tarnish the image of security forces saying that they rob Tamils for gold. If it was the real case, that girl would not dared to wear such a gold jeweleray. |

The purpose is to show that the security forces care about the people. The purpose is to show the deference between LTTE and the SL Army. What the LTTE would have done is thrown the dead body of her out of the ship which is quite simillar to the things that they have been doing in the past |

Who on earth is going to wear a lovely gold necklace inside an Ambulance..who is she? There is no way anyone will wear the necklace in Jaffna at this time
This lady is one of the friends or relatives of the mother. She is a tamil. I say this because of the design of the necklace. They have taken her inside the ambulance so that the mother is with someone she knows. People in Jaffna travel freely with jewellery because it's under army control for so long and life is normal there. I know because I have personally gone to jaffna before the troubled times and have seen what the atmosphere is like.

This is totally unacceptable!
Guys there are very *genuine reasons for this thoroughly checking, he is the one who is responsible for her life and he should make sure many things go correct until he gets to the hospital with her alive, to signs the papers, which says he handed her over to hospital with the minimum harm.
I really don't want to underline the names here but I saw many disturbing comments from people I know for long time on this forum.
They can come up with all sorts of reasons to justify why they commented like this and that but when you go after a picture with this sort of offensive comments it shows the true status of your mind.
Simple 'Thank You' would have been very nice.
