Look at the other women in the picture she is wearing a good necklace. Is that the way Tamils travel when they are escaping?
Yeah..that is a great point and surprises me..Let us consider a few options
1) It can be an imitation necklace.(Not really gold)
2) She is actually not a Tamil but a Sinhalese working in the Navy ship..(Just a calculated Guess)..The necklace does not look like what Tamils wear..but i may be wrong.
3) May be this is to win back the hearts of so many sri lankans who were mad at the way the Tamils were evicted from Colombo.
4) If she is a Tamil..and if she really wearing Gold necklace then we all should be happy that to a certain extend life is normal in Jaffna..(Wearing gold while traveling is a common sight among Tamils)

Good to see u..I was in Shanghai for two days..

We have Racists on both sides but we have 90% good decent people too on both sides..
why do we have to take everything they do as a racist thing..
If i were u, i will be happy that this lady is helped by someone with a HUGE heart than may be she would have died if this Gentleman did not help her..
Pls do not say Buddhist..there is no religion involved.. |

Long time no see.
About the necklace- it's hard to say about the type of necklace. You know we Sinhala and Tamil tend to have similar looking jewelery. It doesn't matter at least baby got delivered. This is couple of weeks old news I think.
