People like VP were produced by our Politicians. He maybe
doing something for his people, but in the wrong way.
He needs to be trained as a law abiding Sri Lankan
This sounds good, but, first the ministers and Govt servants must implement the law.
Please tell the Govt to implement the Tamil official Language act, as a first measure to create confidence in this govt. Then we can expect VP to follow suit. Edited By - nirupam - 14 Jun 2007 22:33:57 GMT |

US government research shows 800,000 people are trafficked across national borders, about 80 percent of them women and girls and up to half minors, the State Department said
In other words, Ms Rice is depending on other countries to do what her country has failed to achieve?

So You agree both countries kill civilians.
You got it wrong, deliberately though, I am afraid. I was trying to show how ridiculous it was to equate the SL actions with the Israeli brutalities. Please don't impute to my post what is not intended by taking my statements out of context. Any civilian casualties consequent to SL attacks are NOT deliberate while Israelis deliberately target civilians. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know the difference.
The difference is that in Sri Lanka no cameras or reporters are allowed into GOVT controlled NE to film/report the atrocities.
If the suggestion is that SL forces kill civilians in Govt. controlled areas, can you please tell when and where such killings have taken place? You must have some evidence other than your own words. It is impossible to kill civilians and keep the lid on it for long unless it takes place in LTTE controlled areas.
You are blind and cruel to support the SL regime that rearmed the paramilitaries which in turn abduct and kill everyday
SL Govt. armed and funded the LTTE during Premadasa's time ostensibly to fight the IPKF but we know how the LTTE used the weapons and money to hound and eliminate thousands of EPRLF, PLOT and PLOTE cadres and supporters. Is it your logic that arming the LTTE to root out its opponents is fine but arming LTTE's opponents to protect them from the LTTE butchers is not acceptable?
Why cannot the SL Govt agree to APRC's Tissa Vitharana's proposals that he published in Feb
Has the LTTE indicated its willingness to begin talks with the Tissa Vitarana's proposal as a starting point? |

You are absolutely right. If the US fails, it is the fault of others. If the US invades another country with or without UN approval, again it is the fault of the country invaded. Uncle Sam has perfected the art of blaming the victims of his actions for all his failures. Unfortunately, the Media dominated by the US agencies actively aid and abet Uncle Sam's misdeeds. |
