As far as i am concerned only thing missing is the political will for change.

i agree with Ruchira that Ethnic problem has to be solved first.
Other wise nothing is possible. It is like in a family, if there is domestic violence, then you can not even call it a Family.


I stand corrected, sir. :)

But I still think that free isn't a good idea at the University level there has to be a compromise (like in England where Uni education has to be paid for only when the student receives a job that pays a certain amount after graduation). It is because of this free education idea that not all of the school leavers can be allowed to study at Uni and thus they hold the bar very high to get into uni. And if you go into the corporate world in Sri Lanka you will see that many school leavers require further training if they wish to climb up the ladder.

I'd take it a step further and say that economies are dependent on the proletariat, we should be proud of them and provide for them a better quality of living.

nice article in morning leader where is states that the norwegian /icelandic monitoring mission told them that sla
tried 6 times to break into madu /mannar area and failed each time and in the process lost 400 sla killed


ltte attack at west of omanthai was in responce to these attacks where ltte captured 9 sq kmn of sla controlled area.

this article was an article in the ECONOMIST MAGAZINE reproduced in the morning leader


after ltte attack at omanthai west ,fonseka has asked gosl
to ask ltte for a cease fire.

latest news says that a paki pilot landed his plane in ltte held area and that he was paid for it


said to be a chinese made F7 .
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU USE mercenary pilots ,if paid more by other side will
do anything.

What ever the plan will not help until government take its hand out in controlling the mechanisms or management & pricing. In japan lowest train fare is 170 yen , Bust fare around 200 yen In Singapore the rates are similar. If Government wants the mass transport to charge Rs 5/= then everything will be back to square. Those who can afford and want comfort will go back to their own means of transport... Think

Ur absolutely spot on..Look what this WAR has done to all the sri lankans..
Look at us!We have basically nothing else to talk other than war
This has created more hatred in racial lines.

High time we come together and find a real solution and PEACE!!
