How about others like Preme,Ranjan, Amir, Gamini,Thiru,and several others ended up in the land of no return. I can't understand why all of them committed suicide. Fed up of life. Ah ?.

Don't ever think of suggesting to check for IQ before participating in LNP, or you will never be able to have chance to send your CRAP here!
For your information, there are lot more than transporting LTTE weapons by road that have gone out of date, for instance,
1. having LTTE camps in Vakarai, Sampoor, Thoppigala and in the East, instead having them only in Vanni
2. having sea tigers, instead sending all of them to Colombo lodges
3. having suicide bombers, instead placing claymores at Wellawatte or on a transmission pylon
4. having Solheim instead passing the job to Ranil
5. begging UN support to have a Kosovo solution (which is still in air!)to establish dream eelam, instead of bribing US congressmen to lift the ban on LTTE
But, drug and weapon smuggling, credit card frauds, stealing from charity funds, collecting ransoms from Tamil diaspora, recruiting children for baby brigades, maintaining VP's family in the West, propagating punnakku through TamilNut are still in vogue!

You are right to some extent. But , tar is not the problem in SL. I have seen with my own eyes what the so called contractors do. They simply put a thin layer of tar and cover it up with a thick layer of sand. No one notices the potholes till the next monsoon. This is the tragedy in SL.

You are right, contractors don't do their job properly. Even if they do it their best, the roads are bound to wearoff so quickly as the tar gets melted under the hot sun and helps to loosen the layer of metal underneath.
On the other hand there is no guarantee that the contractors will put the right amount of cement in the concrete! |

Eeelamiya...Perhaps you have not visited or seen the Rail network in India - our closest neighbor, not forgetting
the Rail Net work in other developed Countries?!.
You seem to be living in a World where only Sri Lanka exists
and all the other Countries are 'NOTHING' in your lop sided
brain. My Friend open up your eyes and look beyond Sri Lanka and you would be able to discern where our Railway stands in comparison.. There is no cure for guys who are like FROGS IN THE WELL ! |

400 million ransoms paid by abducted Muslim businessmen
(LeN- 2007 June 07, 8.00 pm) Over 400 million rupees have been collected as ransom from around 6 Muslim businessmen who were abducted from Colombo during the period of a month.
Here is a breakdown of the sums each of the abducted Muslim businessmen has paid.
100 million rupees from M. Rafeek, the owner of Expo Lanka
50 million from Mubarak chairman of Nolimit
100 million from Fousal Hameed the Chairman of the Hameedias
60 million from RIshak Hajjiar owner of Asian Hardware
30 million from M. Yousuf chairman of Trust Lanka
60 million from Vasu the owner of Devi Jewellers
Speaking to the media former deputy mayor of the Colombo municipal council Asath Salley said the statement made by government defense spokesperson Minister Keheliya Rambukwella that no Muslim businessman except for the owner of Trust Lanka has been abducted is baseless, as several of them were abducted and freed after paying massive sums of ransoms. He said they are not divulging any information regarding the matter as they fear for their lives.
Salley revealed the incident where ransom was collected from the Trust Lanka owner saying that he was first sent a fax asking to meet a group of foreign delegates who were in Sri Lanka to assign persons to recruit employees to be sent to the middle eat countries. He was asked to come to a hotel in Kandy saying that the situation in Colombo was not too conducive.
But Nisthar was not released immediately as his abduction was published in an electronic media and the balance amount making up the 30 million was also collected from Nisthar?s family.
He was then release after 1 1/2 days and his vehicle was found by police from the Gelioya area. Salley says Nisthar has not even been questioned regarding the incident.
This is really sucks !
So this is how Gothapaya like to run his defense dept. without foreign Aid ??
