the OSLO declaration and the ltte knows that.
the oslo declaration envisaged wide ranging autonomy for
tamils.THE ltte knew that ranil would have been suave enough to carry IC and force ltte to accept a federal solution .THE only way to independent elam was through mahinda. |

You know Ranil is more cunning (with inherited gene from JRJ) and more clever than M Rajapakse whose stipidity is slowly exposed. He made a fool of himself by agreeing to District Councils after 5 decades of blood letting and sacrifices. He miscalculated and misjudged the IC and the strength of LTTE.
Ranil wanted to impose Indian Quasi Federal Model so that the Sinhala leaders can dissolve the Provincial Council and sack the Chief Minister. He also was behind splitting LTTE. Ranuil was also opposed US allowing LTTE to take part in some conferences arranged by co-donors. |

If the UN human rights councils gets tough with GOSL when they gather this month, I think rest of the countries will follow the same with Lanka. Same treatment what tigers got from UN.
Most of NGO's are lobbying hard to get tough with lanka, GOOD MOVE, even ranil will help. |
