According to reports, police is monitoring activities of the outfit?s supporters closely and is also preparing dossiers about LTTE supporters. The backlash against the outfit has reportedly been severe in France as 50 Tamils who worked in the French airports were discontinued from their positions once the police concluded that they were active LTTE supporters.

Swathi,

Swastika:

There is no point listening to various stories. We all know that there is a problem and this is not solved for the last 25 years or so.

Thats why we are talking.

Isnt it?

Otherwise we couldnt talk like this.

There is no point talking about what LTTE is doing or what various others say.

So with out talking LTTE crime action how you can say to stop Gov actions ??

You all know what Karuna or for that matter Anandasangaree is talking today. where were they in 1983 and what they were doing...so we can list more and more.

After 83 Neelam Thiruchelwam also was there.Alfrad Doraiappa was there.

But what LTTE did these tamil leaders ??

Yes.We can list more and more.

But all what GOSL has to do is put forward a viable solution acceptable to tamil people with southern consensus.

Accept.

It is must.

Until this happens I'm sorry you are not going to see an end to this war.

Because of brain washed people , yes we cant win.

It is same to LTTE.

Now there is no point saying LTTE wont accept LTTE is Terrorism etc

Just tel me what they did all past times?

Because of LTTE you never get anything. Only tamils will less.

And another thing LTTE not representing All tamil community in Sri lanka. So they can get any decision for all tamil community.

you cannot anyway win.

Could you ?

TNA Ampara district Parliamentarian, Chandraneru Chandrakanthan was brought to Colombo under tight police security after he was allegedly threatened at gun point by Karuna faction head Iniya Bharathi.

Mr Chandrakanthan who had gone to the Thirukkovil town yesterday with his supporters, had been threatened by Iniya Bharathi and his fellow cadres. A heated argument had taken place between the two parties where Iniya Bharathi had reportedly asked Chandrakanthan to leave the area. Police and STF personnel had taken Chandrakanthan to Thirukkovil where he had lodged a complaint.

this is true compassion...

STF even provide security to LTTE! And LTTE make complains to our Police, not to PC Nadesan!

Tamil Tiger saboteurs target Sri Lanka power supply by Amal Jayasinghe
13 minutes ago

COLOMBO (AFP) - Tamil Tiger saboteurs came close to cutting off a large chunk of Sri Lanka's electricity supply Tuesday by skirting tight security and setting off a bomb against a key power line, officials said.

The device, which was rigged to a timer, was attached to a steel pylon located between a key thermal power generating facility and the main control centre in Colombo.

The high-tension line supported by the pylon forms the backbone of the country's power transmitting system.

The blast was heard five kilometres (three miles) away but caused only minor damage to the pylon, and no disruption to power supplies, officials said. No one was hurt in the explosion.

'The line is energised and there is no immediate threat of the cables collapsing,' a spokesman for the Ceylon Electricity Board said. 'We have not switched off the supply, but we will start repair work soon.'

The defence ministry blamed the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), who have been fighting for an independent Tamil state in the north and east of the island since 1972.

Engineers said the bomb could have destabilised Sri Lanka's entire electricity network by disconnecting the thermal generators from the national grid.

Sri Lanka is heavily dependent on the generators due to a drought that is affecting hydroelectric power stations.

'We don't want to openly discuss the transmission and distribution networks, but obviously the attackers knew what kind of damage they could have caused,' one engineer said.

Authorities have begun a major search in the area to track down any more explosives and patrols were also stepped up along the cable route, police said. Military bomb disposal units have also been dispatched.

The blast came as the capital

These Sinhala Kotties are useless. LTTE should give them again special training.
