| Everyone should respect all the religious leaders no matter what is their own religion. I wouldn't think Buddha cares (if he still alive)about making a candle about him. But as a human being we shouldn't target religious leaders for our profitable business ventures. |

Flag burning is done by many people around the world and I don't see the relation between a country flag to a religion.You miss the point. Sorry mate. |

Buddha learned us, that immaterialism is most important than everything which is material.
Singhala Buddhists of today think Materialism is most important than everything which is immaterialist !
You see they killed a lot of innocents for a piece of land !
You see they complain because western industry fabricated a Buddha head handle !
Shame on the fake Buddhists !
Last thing, there is a lot of difference between a true Buddhist and a fake-LNP Buddhist.
Buddha will have never visited LNP.

We didn't START to kill because of a piece of land. You guys started asking a piece of land. LTTE responsible for creating the bloodshed and we are continuing it. I guess you hadn't learn Buddhism thoroughly.
Regarding materialism please read:
Anguttara Nikaya V; Mundraja Vagga;Panchabhoga Adiya Sutta
We lay people are different than the one who trying to attain Nibbana. Most people don't learn Buddhism to a depth and it take decades cover all the Nikayas.

There is no body to protest against the GOSL who often drop a bomb in Buddha's head. Making a candle like Buddha's head is nothing compared to what GOSL doing for Buddha.
The most worst enemy of the Buddha to day is GOSL and it's Barbaric forces. |

1.Men who bomb are not peaceful.
2.Buddha is peaceful (so Buddhists too).
3.So GOSL and Singhala hardcore supporters are not Buddhist minded.

Absolutely wrong 100%. 1956, VP even not born, tamils were killed by the GOSL. Kids were thrown into boiling tar. absolute barbarism isn't it.

Buddhism is only a fraction of SL history. There is no relationship between SL and Buddhism. I guess you know nothing about Buddhism as well as SL. Only you know is the Mahavamsa also famously called as Boruwamsa even by well educated sinhala historians . Boruwamsa is more appropriate for the fiction book you are talking about.

Buddhism is a philosophy. its not a religion. Its teaching you how to live happily ever after.The Sinhalese in sri lanka have never learned that. So true Buddhism has nothing to do with Sinhalese. Don't get me wrong, i don't think this is right!
I absolutely agree with you. Buddhism which is based on Buddha's teachings, is a way of life. it is a feel good book to read. there is no single true buddhist in SL. even Orange terrorists asking for cars and tamil blood. the reason for the problem today is taking the bikkhu's from the streets to the politics. they should have been lefe to beg for there food on the streets, like buddha said. they deserved it.
i am not a sri lankan (south Indian) but this forum involves TamilEelam politics. so i took the Right, to post my views here.

Bottom line is you should not use religious figures for burning stuff such as candles. This goes to Buddha, Jesus Prophet Muhammad, Confucius, Jain and other known religious leaders. This is simply unacceptable - period.
You would not like to see your mom or dad's effigies burning, same here. It affects the religious followers.
So Tesco, better respect the other people's religions.
