FAIRPLAY,
I never said that I disown my Father calling it a body. My complete sentence means that I do not say that this carcass is my Father denoted by your crooked mind.
This itself is the contradiction in your logic. You do not say the carcass is your father himself, but still do not tolerate someone defacing the carcass! On the contrary, you argue Buddhists should not worry over a 'wax buddha statue' saying it is not Buddha himself.
Mister,
-the carcass is not your father himself.
-nude photos of your wife are not your wife herself.
-wax statue of Buddha is not the Budhdha himself.
Your crooked logic says that it is okay for you to oppose the above first two cases while demanding Buddhists not worry about the 'wax mould'. Can your logic be any more crooked? ;-) |

Gamaraala,
I beg that you read my messages in the context of proper english grammar. It is not worth continuing this argument. Because you are not trying to understand my point where I said that you do not say that, this body is my Father. You say my Father is dead. You are not trying to understand the english grammer and have made a big cocktail of the entire topic.
Anyways thank you for the communication.

FAIRPLAY,
The crux of the matter is not English grammar, but your inability defend your crooked logic.
Can your logic be any more crooked? ;-) |

FAIRPLAY,
When I saw the following news on Today's Sunrise, the first one who came to my mind is you. I do not know what sin you have committed for your fate to treat you this bad. Nevertheless, go and read it on CNN.
This news is about an apology (and compensation) urged by Church of England from Sony for recreating the interior of Manchester Cathedral in one of the video games created by Sony. Go and read it on CNN.
http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/fun.games/06/11/sony.manchester/index.html
After all, what Sony have recreated is not even a wax statue of Jesus Christ, but a digital recreation of the interior of one of the cathedrals where Jesus Christ is worshiped (mind that this is not even St Peter's Basilica of Vatican or the Westminster Abbey of London).
Living in the UK, Church of England must be thinking that if Bread is made in the shape of Cathedral it amounts to slicing it and be eaten by Sony. Are you again got amazed seeing how these creatures are still living in a developed world!!
-Mucha
PS: On a side note, if you don't know Buddhism, it is good if you can keep quiet. Buddhists worship Lord Buddha in par with their own mothers, if not with more respect than that. Have you ever heard Buddhist calling Lord Buddha *Budu Meniyo*. Yes, Lord Buddha is a male and Sinhala Buddhists have no clear blood relationship to Lord Buddha (if the story about Princess Baddhakachchna is dismissed due to the lack of any *scientific* evidence). But we still treat him as our *Budu Meniyo*. Therefore FAIRPLAY, theoretically, it is absolutely alright for Buddhists to treat this as an insult worse than something directed to their beloved mothers.

Mucha and Gamaraala,
I very well understand the lengthy explanation justifying the existance of Buddu Meniyo and further Gedera Budhun Amma etc.
Could you both, please tell me what you or your parents in the past 20-30 years per your knowledge done with those pictures of Lord Buddha on depict on yearly calendars.
Have they burnt them or made reams of scrap books to show and tell their grand children.????
