It is amazing to see that all of us getting riled up due to a candle.(including myself)
Buddha said to avoid the senseless talk.
1. Words spoken at the wrong time
2. Words that contain untruth or exaggeration
3. Words that bring no benefit
So I think we all should close this argument. |

My question is this.
If your father is dead, will you allow anyone to deface it as they wish simply because that body is not your father.

As a human being each living human being is supposed, morally, to pay the last respects and prevent any mutilation. That is the very reason you see atleast MR attended the funeral of those 2 Red cross workers,intentions unknown,but he kept to the norm.
Likewise LTTE paid the last respects burying the SLA soldiers' bodies that SLA refused to accept.
I am no different to the above. If I die in SL, amidst all differences, my coffin will be shrouded with SL flag.
WHEN YOU DO NOT MIND YOUR RELATIVES PHOTO IN NUDE,SAYING IT IS NOT HER, HOW COME THE CANDLE IS Lord Buddha??? Isn't it just wax!! At the end of year many people throw away the calendars with picture of either Buddha, Jesus or Murugan.
My dear, it is your conscience that determines what is GOD.

Do not try to side track from my question. Answer it.
If you won't let any one to deface the dead body of your father on moral grounds even though that dead body is not your father, why cannot Buddhist protest against those candle manufacturers on the same moral grounds.
BTW, I did not mean that I would not mind people publishing nude photos of my relatives. I think you have either misread that or I have not made myself clear.

Please bring Lord Buddha's dead body before me and earn the right to place this question before me. I will answer appropriately.
Please don't just waste my time arguing over a piece of wax mould. It is clearly not Lord Buddha; he has given you a beacon of light to your darkened mind. Act wisely as said.

Don't get upset if nude photos of your mother, daughters, wife and sisters are for sale. Those photos are clearly not your relatives, those are just pieces of paper!

Fairplay, your 'blood connection' argument is indeed lame. You DO NOT have a blood connection with nude photos!

Just like you argue that a Wax Statue of Buddha is not Lord Buddha, nude photos of your relatives are NOT your relatives! The former is wax and the latter is paper. :-)

I regret that you have been very selective in quoting sentences from my replies. So shrewd that you have excluded words that complement a full meaning of a phrase.
You have turned the English language upside down to define and create a meaning for what I have written. I never said that I disown my Father calling it a body. My complete sentence means that I do not say that this carcass is my Father denoted by your crooked mind.
I was writing the proper english grammatical form. You have added direct sinhala connotations to my english.
You are also referring to blood connection concerning my wife and suggesting incest.
As a matured individual you must know that reproduction of people started with the first couple in this world and through their children. There was copulation between the Parents and children.
I was correct to identify that you have a blood connection to Lord Buddha. Find your pedigree. Don't ever deny that. I can sense your blood boiling thru this connection.
