When my father is dead, I would not say that this body is my father, but would say that this is my father's body. If any of my relatives is photographed nude, I would not mind that simply because that photograph is not my relative. In the same way, if any one made a candle resembling Buddha, we would not give it up thinking that candle is not Buddha.
My question is this.
If your father is dead, will you allow anyone to deface it as they wish simply because that body is not your father.

What story do you have from Mahawansa to repeat when you don't even show any signs that you have even seen the book!
For your information, Mahawansa is not the book to teach Buddhism and according to it, it is not Lord Buddha who introduced Buddhism to Sri Lanka but Mahinda thero! oh dear, seems you didn't go thahampasal and learn properly(if any one who don't know about the thahampasal here is the clue, 'thahapasal'- place where singhalese believe hanayas can produce lions). what i said about mahavamsam and the way Buddhism was introduced to sri lanka is correct. i am not going to repeat that story here b.cos i don't believe that stupidity. I have a very high respect in Lord Buddha and i am not desperate to know Buddhism from mahavamsam. In tamil there are so much literatures about Buddha. so don't jump up and down. it is not we tamils job to educate you and ltte has so much other things to do. |
