For example, US access for any operation in the South Asian theater has to be initiated from Diego Garcia; an island well in the South, only good for long range B52 sorties. Trinco port has always been eyed by them. You can park an entire aircraft carrier battle group there.

wrong again! south Asian countries? in south Asian countries India is the only worrying factor for the USA. if ever there to be a fight between India and the USA , the pakis will be the 1st on the que to let the USA to use their country as a base to attack India. (and an ample opportunity for the pakis to milk the USA)
and also, India is progressing to make a CONTROVERSIAL deal with USA on nuclear technologies.
i do not see at present that the USA sees India as an enemy.
if ever there to be a fight between china and the USA , the USA need India's help!!
so in the south Asian equation, SL is nothing to USA! |

In long run, India will be the USA's main ally given the new global changes - rising Muslim population, emerging new Chinese superpower, demographic problems in NATO and EU countries. In 30 or 40 years, India will replace UK as USA's main ally.
The probability of being Chinese or Muslim is one out of three in current population, and it will go up to 1 in 2 in few decades; That's why US needs India badly in long run. Edited By - bhairav - 4 Jun 2007 20:19:57 GMT |

Here in Canada we can get grated coconut (frozen) from the Philippines. Very fresh when thawed, ideal for a sambol in under a minute :O)
Hahaha!!
We can get 'raw' coconut here in London...not frozen stuff :):):):) |
