Now, What is the problem here? Sri Lanka can buy arms from any country.

No...SL only can buy arms from the countries that can give a loan.

All these Chinese arms , radar and other military weapons will be available for LTTE men to discuss the reasonable prices with the army commanders. These are really good news for the LTTE men.

Althouhg these weapons aare not free for the government but it is almost free for LTTE men who will take appointment with the army commanders soon.

This is sri lankan waar!

''It is high time that Sri Lanka understood that India is the big power in the region and ought to refrain from going to Pakistan or China for weapons, as we are prepared to accommodate them within the framework of our foreign policy,''

Ha...ha...ha....How pathetic is india. It has to tell everybody that 'we are the super power'...
It is all cos of the foreign policy of India.

The next choice India has is obviously supporting TE and helping LTTE. It is still not too late for India.

That is the reason there is no one respected in India after Indira Ghandhi's leadership. There should be another Indira Ghandhi in India soon otherwise dream of india being a super power in the region only will be a dream.

Next choice for the whole world really.

You see they backed the Modayabakse war criminal in the hopes that he could quash the LTTE, as the world did not want it to be seen that a so called 'terrorist' org could achieve their ultimate goals.

So given that the Modayabakse is only good at blowing smoke up his chinthana followers you know where and not in actually defeating the LTTE the option left for the world is to admit that the LTTE is not a terrorist org but in fact freedom fighters. Thus solving their dilema of allowing a 'terrorist' org to 'win'.

But it seems the LTTE may have to prove this point a few more times to the rather slow IC.

Guys,

India is not worried about GOSL buying 200,000 arty rounds or guns from china. But it is worried about radars. Bcoz the same radars can be used to spy on indian flights.

It is like china moving its aerial surveillance close to india.

Lets see how india reacts. It's going to be really interesting.

Its High time for india to rethink its strategy towards SL Tamils. GOSL is never ever going to give anything to tamils and it is always against india.

India doesn't give a cent about Tamils or Sinhalese or Muslims. It opposes Tamil Ealam not because they love Sri Lanka, that is because they've a State called Tamil Nadu just above NE of Sri Lanka. India would want this war to continue and SL to lag in development. It's best interest of India to keep SL down economically. It's pretty obvious.

Hmm so obvious, yet why does the SL government then not do the one thing India fears...give the Tamils Eelam, and let both our nations (Tamil and Sinhala) prosper together free of war and free of Indian medling?

shanA
thats not true! all countries want peace in lanka, specially India. so they can expand their businesses in lanka.

no countries care about Tamils or Sinhalese is true as there is no strategic interest for any other countries.

what is so good for them if they divide and what is so bad if united?

It's best interest of India to keep SL down economically. It's pretty obvious

how? care to elaborate?

No Revy, that's not going to happen. It's better to lag economically than deviding the country. So we would keep fighting till we learn to live together. Pretty sad.
