vavuniya battle...

Folks heavy fighting is going even as i write this article at the newly formed fdls in vavaniya with the ltte launching a massive counter attack on the forward lines of the forces following a heavy artillery attack...
the attack was launched on multiple fronts and the forces made a withdrawal on one of them....
in at least two other fronts the ltte`s attack was taken on and they suffered massive casualties in a course of making many attempt to overrun the defenses.
in the arti attack which took place in before the offensive an ammo dump of the forces caught fire and the ensuing explosions had close to 12 forces personnel dead.
the ltte casualties are not known but the forces at fronts in which two ltte heavy attacks were repulsed confirm that at least 30 ltte dead bodies were seen ahead of the fdl...
the ltte despite the setback is fighting hard to captures the two areas concerned and the fighting is still going on...
so far about 30 forces personnel is reported to have been killed...

About 60 forces personel have been injured and are treated in hospitals...

WHile I appreicate your effort to keep us appriased of the situation on the battle front, your loyalties remain suspect given your military affiliation.

It is hard for special force to give us a perfect TRUTH but he does it well (not all will accept even this high # 12)..One guy i always respect cos he is the first to admit that the 61 school kids who were bombed was a mistake by the air force and he never tried to deny it...

Liberation Tigers launched a commando raid Saturday night into Vavuniyaa Mannaar border villages where the SLA had recently advanced its Forward Defence Line (FDL), LTTE Military Spokesman Irasiah Ilanthirayan said. The Tigers have destroyed a SLA artillery launchpad, seized military hardware including Buffel Armoured Personnel Carriers and established their FDL positions in Mu'l'likku'lam and Vi'laththikku'lam, Mr. Ilanthiryan said. Meanwhile, informed military sources in Vavuniyaa said 20 SLA troopers were killed, 40 wounded, an ammunition dump was destroyed in Pampaimadu, and that the Tigers have seized a big haul of weapons in their raid Saturday night. Fighting is still continuing.

In my opinion you are NOT one of those will go and kill an infant or shoot and loot a Tamil family. SL war is like a match you are in the opposite side you enjoy your victory. But good number of your players are hooligans and they are not involved in the match but in genocide.
I read your comments and you have mentioned Tamils issues should be addressed. I felt if not been cheated by you is from your heart and you are not a chauvinist.

Human right violations in the form minority harrassment is outright evil and unsustainable, if it happens to Tamils in South, or singalese and muslims in North East, or christians in pakistan, or muslims in Gujarath, India
Having dominance over a race though bad it gives a sense pride and pleasure to the dominant group. Whether we like or not it happens and majority of the time respective govt keep quite or turns blind eye. Govt are elected to power along the racial and religious line. This is a BLOODY FACT. Bombay riots and recent Gujarath violence were other good examples. Govt having soft approach to majority community. It will definitely have an effect on Pakistan Hindus. How can I blame a Pakistani when Indian elect BJP and demolish a mosque in daylight? They will have their turns as well.
Majority of Singalese are peace loving and good-hearted people. So are majority of tamils. In fact, on a one to one basis, Sri Lankans are one of the nicest peoples I have come across
So how comes they voted for SWRD and now MR on the pure racial thinking. Who is bombing and killing begging arms and money all around the world? Show me a single properly rebuild house tsunami hit place in the N&E where we had the most damage. India and the world has to remind the SL govt time to time to send necessary medicine to the N&E. Why are these good hearted people to be reminded by world?
I know some Pakistanis and whom I came across are really good and friendly people as well. In fact majority in all races and religion are good in that aspect. But have you tested their attitude towards minority and other religion? Then only you will see their TRUE colours.
I am not worried about the SL military build up or LTTE air strikes. Believe it or not, these much and more have been drawn in advance with very close accuracy by some people I know
And I think I have a fair idea of what is yet to come. Many people I know are prepared for the eventualities.
At the end of the day, when everything is over, SL will be a secular, plural, democratic and united country, as deserved by its people.
But I am surley worried about the money and blood that we are going to waste on the way
This is beyond my limits. You have strategy and tactics. So why NOT without money and blood? This is where I am confused. Would you need BLOOD to implement with lot of good people around?
