In the above interview MR said he was going to weaken LTTE in the North. Doesn't it mean that he was planning to attack LTTE in the North as well.

The truth of the matter is that the LTTE?s ability carry out terrorist attacks in the south, guerrilla attacks in the east and conventional attacks in the north must be tackled militarily.

Peace talks at this will only delay the real peace as has been proven during numerous occasions.

Instead of siding with terrorists and playing their tunes, the way I see it is that the international community needs to do a lot more to switch off the funds flow, diplomatic & political cover and remind the LTTE that the games up!

This is what happened with the IRA, post 9/11, there was no way T Kennedy and others could afford to have been seen hanging out with M McGuiness raising cash on St Patrick?s Day, down town NY, for the purposes of bombing, shootings & knee capping back home in the name of liberation.

The IRA saw it coming and ceased the moment. The rest is history. Until a similar realisation comes to Tamil Diaspora and its brainwashed henchmen in the field, military will have to maintain the current momentum for the sake of unity and security. MR will see to it.

Australia to list LTTE as terrorist organization

Australia is preparing to list the LTTE as a terrorist organization. Such a move would put the country in line with other Western countries including the USA, Britain Canada and the 27 European Union countries that have banned the group, The Australian reported yesterday.

The report said: 'The Tamil Tigers are soon to be listed as a terrorist organisation in Australia.

Although the federal Government says it has made no formal decision to proscribe the Sri Lankan separatist group, also known as the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, preparations for the move are believed to be under way in Canberra.

The move would rank it alongside 19 other proscribed groups, including al-Qa-8217;ida, Jemmah Islamiah and Lashkar-e-Toiba. It would bring Australia into line with other Western countries that have banned the LTTE, including the US, Britain, Canada and the 27 countries of the European Union.

Nobody cares bout this ban in Australia. It wasnt like the Tigers were planning on setting up a diplomatic mission here. Nothing changes.

Hooters want war, so get ready for war...

Planting bombs and killing civilians is hardly a war. That is nothing but coward terrorism.

Australian newspaper reveals LTTE ban preparation underway, Australian aid groups worried
Sat, 2007-06-02 02:35
Colombo, 02 June, (Asiantribune.com): Preparation for the ban of LTTE is now underway in Australia. 'Although the federal Government says it has made no formal decision to proscribe the Sri Lankan separatist group LTTE, preparations for the move are believed to be under way in Canberra' reported ?The Australian? yesterday.

The paper said 'Australian overseas aid groups also fear that any move to proscribe it could cause them to pull out of Sri Lanka for fear of breaching the law in areas controlled by the Tigers.'

But it added 'However, any decision to proscribe the LTTE in Australia will spark an angry backlash from many of the country's 30,000 Tamils?although not all Australian Tamils support the violent campaign waged by the LTTE in Sri Lanka, there is widespread support for its aims of an independent homeland for Tamils in Sri Lanka.'.

?The Australian? is a leading broadsheet daily published across the Australian continent and is reportedly the second highest selling newspaper in Australia.

The paper said 'the move (to ban LTTE) would rank it alongside 19 other proscribed groups, including al-Qa'ida, Jemmah Islamiah and Lashkar-e-Toiba and bring into line with other Western countries that have banned the LTTE.'

'Foreign Minister Alexander Downer has expressed alarm at the recent escalation of fighting between the Sri Lankan armed forces and the LTTE in a conflict which has killed more than 70,000 since the early 1980s' the report said.

Swiss judge refuses bail to Tiger leader Kulam accused of attacking rival Tamils
Fri, 2007-06-01 13:47
Zurich, 01 June, (Asiantribune.com): The detention of the Tiger Chief of Switzerland Chelliah Kulasekerasingham nom de guerre Kulam and Selvarasa Vaikunthan, the person in charge of Tamil Youth Organization in Berne was extended on 29 may by the by the Criminal investigative Court in Zurich.Vaikunthan and Kulam (in the right wearing Blue color Jacket): 'Asian Tribune' was informed that Kulam?s Lawyers have applied for bail twice and his application was turned down both the times.
Kulam and his men waylaid PLOTE members and attacked them at Central, located near the Zurich Metro station while returning after participating in the May Day rally.

PLOTE International Organizer Swiss Ranjan and five others were seriously injured and hospitalized.

Subsequently Swiss criminal Police arrested Kulam and Vaikunthan on the 03 May and detained them

Ranjan and others of PLOTE members who were called to staatsanwaltschaft (Attorney General Department) and they identified from the thirty odd photos shown to them by the Investigative judge the Tiger thugs who attacked them.

They identified Kulam and four other LTTE cadres, namely-

1. Selvarasa Vaikunthan - of LTTE?s Tamil Youth Organization Berne

2. Sivashanmugathas Saseekaran of LTTE?s Tamil Youth Organization

3. Arulnanthan Kumar ? LTTE Money Collecting Agent

4. Kanapathipillai Knojan - of LTTE?s Tamil Youth Organization of Luzern

Swiss criminal police, it is said, according to sources has also already arrested Sivashanmugathas Saseekaran and Arulnanthan Kumar.

'Asian Tribune' was informed that Kulam?s Lawyers have applied for bail twice and his application was turned down both the times.

Kulam is the second regional (Swiss) LTTE leader now in police custody. Already Parithi, the LTTE Leader for France is one of the 14 Tigers arrested by the French Police.

Furthermore, in Melbourne Australia, two Tiger agents ? Aruran Vignanamoorthy and S. Yathavan, the head of the LTTE paper Eelamurasu ? were arrested early this and refused bail.

Tiger thugs have a record of attacking members of rival Tamil parties in Europe and America and Canada. One of the first to be attacked was Ketheeswarn Loganathan, the peace activist who was killed in Colombo by Tiger assassins. He was first attacked in Oslo Norway when he and an EPRLF MP were attending a course at the Peace Research Institute Oslo. Norway has turned a blind eye to the criminal activities of the Tigers who have infiltrated into the Norwegian left-wing political parties of which system Erik Solheim, the peace facilitator, is a member.
