Mr Mark Levinson,

Please undersatnd first we must clear LTTE terrorism. And then we have to find a reasonable poltical solution.

Thanks

Arthi.

hello arthi

i would support the idea of 'war for peace' only if you give us the plan. ie

1) how long the war will last.
2)what will be the estimated damage of the war.
3) what is the solution after war.
4)how much the war will cost the country.
5)estimated life loss due to the war.
6)how to repair the war related damage and how much fund available to repair.
7) what sort of compensation package the govt has to offer to the suffered people after war.
8) what sort of intensives and compensations available to the grieving families if they lose any of their loved one due to this war for peace strategy.

if you do not have an answer to EVEN just one Q the ' war for peace' strategy will become nothing more than a 'war for war' strategy.

if what you say is 'war for war', i will not support your idea!

do you support the war?

SLA commando units spearheading the eastern offensive advanced further into the dense jungles of Thoppigala reaching another milestone today. Advancing commandos have captured several strategic points in the region with the help of SLA light infantry, artillery and rocket regiments.

Meanwhile, military intelligence have learnt that most major LTTE leaders in the eastern province have fled to Wanni. Those who are lower in the LTTE command structure have been left to fight a battle that is seemingly impossible to win. Special Forces, Commandos and light infantry have virtually surrounded the tiger territory leaving very few escape routes for the trapped LTTE cadres.

The forces are engaged to capture the Kudumbimalai of Thoppigala and the LTTE is withdrawing little by little from their area. At the same time forces are advancing in the Omanthai west and Madhu of Vanni, said the army spokesman, Brigadier Prasath Samarasinghe in a press conference held at the information centre for national security yesterday.

The LTTE is facing severe shortages for foods and other goods.

We were able to foil the LTTE destructive activities during the past on the informations given by the public. Likewise the public must cooperate with the army to root out terrorism, he said further.

Army's Long Range Surveillance (LRS) units operating in the northern province carried our several successful assaults on key LTTE intelligence wing members during the past week. More details on these assaults cannot be revealed for security reasons. Increased LRS activity in the north is said to be one of the major concerns of LTTE leadership as of now.
