I think we should one day tell India, that we allow the partion of this country..Then only we can tell the INDIA to shut the hell up...
I mean it is better if we can resolve this crisis without the partition but it is increasingly impossible to do that with Indias bullying..What we should do is to tell India that we will withdraw the forces from Jaffna and redeploy them in the Vauniya sector.That will pave the way for LTTE to establish Ealam..Then we can start to push the LTTE out further into North..Let them have their ealam in one tenth of the island..That way we can ask the tamils in other parts to leave the South..If any tamil wants to stay in the south, stripped their rights to own land or anything ..Make Sinhala the official language..Banned all tamil political parties in the South..
There is no question about East...It is for all Sri Lankans except tamils... |

The sad part of indian relationship is india warning us agaisnt having good relationsip with india's enemys china and pakistan but maintaining a good relationship with sri lankas first enemy LTTE directly or indirectly (thro Tamilnadu).
Sinhalese and tamils both are fools to seek indian support for their own problems, tamil politicians always work for india, tamils feel they are more indians than sri lankans, and sinhalse politicians competing each other to woo india. all without knowing at the end all end up losing, and india gaining upper hand in all aspects of our lives, militarily, politically and economically.
India will never be a good neighbhour. it will never be like US to its neighbouring countris, Malaysia to singapore, China to South Korea and Thailand. US and China are good neighbours for other small countries and never tried to sabotage their progress.China could have created more problems in Malaysia or singapore throug chinese populations in those countries and Malasia could have created problems in Singapore thro Malay population there. this is totally in contrast to what India did in Sri Lanka thro tamils.
India's relationship with Sri Lanka is driven by greed and selfishness. It is clearly evident from the fact that India posted Mr.Tharoor for UN secratory general post along with Mr. Dhanapla, just to prevent sri lankas' chances.
It is better for our own interest to get away from all these countris india, pakistan and china gradually. Each one has its own vested interest and we should not fall into another trap in the long run.
I think India never want sri lanka to be peaceful or become prosperous untill it make sure sri lanka has fully surrenderd to India economically, militarily and politically. that is Inidas main objective. Untill it achieve its objective India will support both GOSL and LTTE (thru Tamilnadu). |

Govt admits that Tamil schools in Vakarai were never supplied with basics.
Defence Dept admitted that Tamil schools in Vakarai were never equipped with basics to function normally. Only after the civilians are forced to resettle against the UN advice and against UN Convention that the Govt want to send books, tables and chairs to schools in Vakarai.
Under this programme, 2,000 school desks, 2,000 chairs, 1,700 small chairs, 850 small desks, teachers' chairs and tables all costing Rs. 13 million were sent for use by the 12 schools.
Education Minister Susil Premajayantha handed over the list of the consignment to Nation Building Minister Susantha Punchinilame and Local Government Minister Bashir Segudawood.
Though there is a lot of hot air nothing is supplied yet. These propaganda must be compared with what happened to Tsunami victims in Tamil amd Muslim areas as the Minister herself complained that victims are still lnguishing in ill equipped tents in Kalminai.

India can?t dictate terms: SLFP, JHU
Two key parties in the ruling coalition - the SLFP and the JHU yesterday said India could not dictate terms to Sri Lanka as it did a few days ago by saying that Sri Lanka should avoid purchasing weapons from Pakistan and China and seek military support only from India
During the time of peace or when the Govt did not give freehand to the security forces and disarmed paramilitaries India did not 'dictate' to Sri Lanka. When Tamils are abducted, tortured, killed or extroted large sums of money any country in the UN has a legitimate concern to try to prevent such horrors.
India has a trump card in the sense of de-proscribing LTTE which is within her powers. Unless SL president protect the Tamil civilians then not only India but also other countries may follow suit and remove the ban on LTTE.
Previous PM Indra Gandhi would have lifted the ban on LTTE thereby forcing Sri Lanka to conform to civilised behaviour. She would not have been a party to sending IPKF or falling into JRJ's trap. So there wouldn't have been any necessity for straining relationship between India and Tamils. |

| As far as Sri lanka is in civil war India is benefited. If either LTTE is defeated or Tamils and Sinhalese united Sri Lanka will be developed faster than India. Estimated 800,000 sri lankan tamils and 1,200,000 Sinhalese and Muslims living in abrad will complete with india to obtain global market share to Sri lanka. Specially LTTE will not allow Indian fishermen to fish in sri lankan waters and sell any agricultural foods like onion, patatoes, chillese to Sri lanka. India knows that Sri lankans have better opportunities and they are well educated and therefore unity in sri lanka will loose indian economy. |

Pls Don't't talk on behalf of Tamils. WE ARE FOOLS BECAUSE OF DIFFERENT REASONS. India was misled by JR. Tamils also fools because we also get into the trap set by JR. JR have engineered the Situation leads to LTTE and IPKF war. Tamils also rely on the promises of Sinhalese leaders including late President Premadasa and go against India. Terrorism of unitary Sinhalese state pushed Tamils and up country Tamils to wards India. Now Sri Lankan Tamils Tamilnadu and some in Delhi are trying hard to correct their past mistakes.
How can you expect Tamils to accept present Sri Lanka? Tamils have never accepted the unitary system, Lion flag, the Sinhalese only official Language and Buddhism as state religion ect. Tamils are not going to accept this in future too. TAMILS AND UPCOUNTRY TAMILS CAN FEEL SRI LANKAN ONLY IN A SECULAR AND FEDERAL SRI LANKA. We do not feel like Sri Lankan under unitary system. If Sinhalese want the unitary system, then one day or another Tamils and upcountry Tamils will bring Sri Lanka under India. Please don't have any doubt on this. |
