Colombo - Troops and police stepped up security in the Sri Lankan capital on Tuesday after two bomb blasts by suspected Tamil Tiger rebels in the past 24 hours killed 11 people, officials said.

All vehicles entering Colombo were searched by heavily-armed troops and police during a three-hour period, a police spokesperson said.

The move, following a blast on Monday evening at the edge of the capital which claimed at least eight lives, caused huge traffic jams in the morning.

Just before the search got underway on Tuesday, another blast in the island's north killed three people.

'All vehicles entering the city were checked,' a police spokesperson said. 'This was a precautionary measure after yesterday's bomb attack.'

Rasak,
its time to chase away the WETAMILS from colombo,

This is naked racism

this is a good example how the WETAMILs have created this bogus freedom struggle.
where ive shown how a one WETAMIL have justified the eviction of muslims from the jafna based on the secuirty of tamils there,
so i sujjest what to do to secure colombo, in line with the logic of the WETAMILs, and this looser now caqll me a racist!
typical WETAMIL!

I remember very well R Sundaralingam, the former SP of Jaffna.
I was attached to GH, Jaffna at that time.
Yes! I remember treating him for his shoulder problem.Nice chap.
He was a very popular SP,the Jaffna had.
I think he took over from Thavarajah, who wasn't that popular.
Yes! I did treat Thavarajah as well for his back problem.

Why not we wait for the Gosl to issue a statement saying who is right..then we are 100% sure it is the truth

GOSL is not issuing statements on behalf of terrorists.

Strange enough they reach levels where the intelligence of the public is insulted by some of the claims. One example is the ease with which some spokesman describe flotilla of guerrilla boats coming into attack Navy patrols. The numbers of the 'suicide boats' and the others are frequently spelt out though it is not clear how it is possible to exactly identify the 'suicide boats''. They do not carry name boards. It is known that on some occasions the guerrillas have dived into the water after directing a suicide boat to a target. Other times, a single cadre had been deployed. But the boats used in attacks look much the same and any difference is often unnoticeable.

Mr. Athas should check this picture ..

This is a suicide boat.It is almost flat and impossible to target it easilly.. That is how Navy comes to know whether it is suicide or suicidal boat..

Am I correct?

I feel sorry for that dude......I was having fun with him but feel bad about it cause I think deep down there is a cause for his hatred towards Sinhalese in general and especially towards ME......

Next time around I will break him, just want to know the reason for that hatred:(:(:(
