Very nice situation. Both Karuna and Pilliyan are 'WarLords', what interest them is the money and power. They are loosers and will loose as Karuna is a traitor and as Pilliyan followed this loosu.

Well done LTTE ! Now they have to infiltrate them, and use their group to infiltrate SLA...

Nanmuhan,

People are free to do anything they like and even to call somewhere 'this is our nudedland' as long as they do it peacefully. It is ok to be different and do whatever you like. but it is not acceptable when a extremist group threatens others violently.

Ok..Mr B will be bording now. see you latter guys!

Mr. Brown can not beat you, you are smarter. Just leave him alone. He is trying hard to give us this platform to express our views and iron out differences. Oh, I forgot, Mr. Brown helps us maintain good health releasing our frustration and stress here by bashing other members too. :)

This argument will go on years and years, who came first and who owns the land.
Its important to undersatand the current problem and the last 100-50 years,
Still the govt hasnt granted thousands upcountry tamils citizenship, So how can some one talk about we all are Sri lankans.
Y'day Karu jasasuriya talking about replying letter in tamil to tamils,(he just remembers the lang policy after long years) The langugae policy never been used by any govt.
Its now important tamils to look what the tamils wants rather than forcing something to accept.

So are you saying that if a group of people live somewhere for 50-100 years, they can claim it as their homeland? Some areas of the UK/canada are mainly asian now. Can these people claim it as a homeland? Surely it takes something more?

What is it that makes the N/E special that makes you certain that you have the right to make it Tamil only.

It is highly recommended to reply all in English rather than their native language. This will help them to see the world from a different angle.

Mr Sin!!
Tamils are the pepole lived in lanka even before sinhalse came. there are lots of evidence in all parts of the country. when Viya arrived there was 5 hindu temples in all coners in sri lanka, Anyway i dont want to argue this matters, bcz its useless.
Some areas of the UK/canada are mainly asian now. Can these people claim it as a homeland? Surely it takes something

there pepole have equal rights as others and they have been made citizen of the countires in few years time, but in lanka the up country pepole are living more than 150 years m,any dont have citizenship

Jana,

I read some where that he is watching CNN nowadays .

He is a lawyer in profession and knows good English. For political reasons, he is wearing that suit, but living in modern world. Many misinterpret that and follows wrong steps. Same goes with that Indian PM, Dr. Manamohan Sing.

Key to change any outdated system, society is education. But today English is the preferred media to access the education. So English as the language of practice in SL must be promoted.
