According to genetic studies Singhalese and Tamils are inter related to each other than anyother communities in the south asia.
According to many research done by Geneticists includinng Eric Mayer South Indiians and Sinhalese share 72% of genetic pool whereas Sri Lankan Tamils and Sinhalese only 55%. That shows Sinhalese have more close genetic linkage with S.Indians than with SL Tamils. |
