Shakti,
Glad to learn this. Tell Kula. He has an Indian degree I think. How great I went to local universities.
True.
What can I do?
For the 2A B C, I got in the A/L, I could only get into an Indian University as Sri Lankan District Basis system would not accept me to a Sri Lankan Engineering Degree.

Kula,
This is interesting. I got to a university for almost the same results (from Colombo distrcit where the competetion was highest the year) and wonder how you did not.
For that results you should get an all island rank somewhere within first 100. (those days, not now)

Thinkking,
is this Bandula Padmakumara is the guy who published 'Wal Paththara' during 80s and 90s? I'm sorry if it's a case of mistaken Identity. :)
Yeap. Pera has been a fan of those 'Wal Patthara'.

Shakti,
That particular year was one of the best year for the entire Jaffna peninsula.
From my class alone 8 of us got that result.Three of them got Engineering. There were more who got better results than that. All of them went to Peradeniya.
Anyway, I don't regret going to India.

Kula,

I don't regret anyway for going to India.
Well after seeing the behaviour of some people here who claim themselves to be lecturers at Peradeniya University, I think you have all the reasons in the world to be happy about what happened.
So discrimination does some good too. :-)
(Anyway, I know Peradeniya has some good lecturers too, specially in the Engineering faculty. I was just there last Saturday to meet a friend. It was a beautiful place though now covered with black flags because of some students? issue)

The real danger is that Tamil nationalism is also seen as terrorism, and dealt with accordingly.
