Japan can help if only Lankans desires: Akashi
Mr..Akashi,
Our honorable President is no more interested in getting any help from the outside World..Including your country.
So,Please do not try to change his mind..
He can manage the LTTE & all the election promises, with the fund available inside the country..
Same as your country, the Americans,UK also trying hard to pump more money to his pockets..
But he do not want to accept it..
So,please do not waste your time,in brain-washing him..
Try to find some other place, like Mongolia,to spend your money in a useful way..
Thanks Mr...Ka..Ka..Shi..Shi..Mr.President will contact you later in the Night today...Ha..Haa.. Edited By - mareesa03 - 23 May 2007 12:04:00 GMT |

'It is not always necessary for us to dance to the tune of the international community. But in a globalizing world, we have entered into many international agreements and we cannot dishonor them and become 'frogs in the well' type. We cannot sustain ourselves without them.
We cannot swim against the tide like Venezuela. Venezuela can afford to do it as they have the sixth largest oil deposit in the world. But we cannot afford such swimming heroism and if we try, we could easily be drowned. Like 'big shots' we issue strong statements against other countries. We ask big nations 'Can't you see what LTTE is doing in your country?' Is not it stupid? ---it is precisely because these countries saw what the LTTE was up to that they banned the organization in their countries!
But these countries also insist that just because LTTE behaves in a certain way, Sri Lanka cannot behave in the same way. We will receive aid only if we behave. Just because you do some picketing and shout slogans on the road, do you think that the treasury would overflow with funds? These picket protestors and sloganeers cannot understand this.
Here's what I would like to tell to pro-war people and those asking for a military solution: 'If the United Nations imposes some sanctions on Sri Lanka due to human rights abuses, then just like LTTE, we also will have to shop for arms in the black market. Some people are dancing around, shouting slogans without any idea of this! Therefore if we do not keep our eyes open about these so called protestors and slogan shouters against international community, we are doomed.'
