The names of some countries and also some cities that were changed by the Colonial invasion were renamed to their former names. this has happened all over the world.

GOSL also should rename those former town or village names to names that were used before the colonial invasions or before.

REad and see how many sinhala names are ther that are not being used today.

'Long before the arrival of Vijaya there was in Lanka five recognised Ishwarams of Shiva which claimed and received adoration of all India. These were Thiruketheeshwaram which was near Mahatittha, Muneshwaram dominating Salawatte and the pearl fishery, Thondeshwaram near Mantota, ThiruKoneshwaram near the great Bay of Kottiyar and Naguleshwaram near Kankesanturai ' .

Stopterror,

I share youre concern and wish better counsel prevails in finding a solution so that all communities can live as Sri Lankans.

For that to happen our politicians must grow up and give up this stipid District Councils within unitary state. As more lives and destruction happen the stake become higher and demands on both sides are higher too.

Even now a system that ensures an autonomous devolved body without the intervention and interferanceof the central govt can be worked out if only the Buddhist clergy and elitist rulers see the wisdom of it. Otherweise dooms day scenario is nearing closer.

So the training complex ?? with millions of dollar worth chain of multi buildings got destroyed ??

After all, few huts and some poles for target practices in an open ground area.

Looks like during LTTE trainees absent, SLAF taken some training practice on their ground. But it must be very costly practice with bombs and flyings hours with rental MIgs.

Are they telling that the main power station or a transformer also bombed within the training complex site ??
If that is the case Blackout in Wanni also milestone achievement of SLAF.
(Wanni never worried about blackout, as they have used that for the past 40 years any way !)
